Outside of one season they have been overrated for the better part of a decade.

Here is UNC's tournament record for the last decade: NCAA champions in 2005 and 2009. Final four in 2008. Elite 8 in 2007, 2011, and 2012.

Crap! I was listening to John Thompson the other day, and he was talking about how good Wichita was, so I took the plunge and sent them to the championship in my bracket. Dammit.

A very talented Kentucky team had to play what was, by far, their best game of the season just to squeak by Wichita by 2 points. I'd say John Thompson was right on the money and yours was a sound decision. Wichita plays Kentucky 10 times, I think they win 8 or 9. Either way it was a great game to watch - probably the best of the tournament so far.

I will admit the PAC-12 is better than I thought. I think Utah getting pounded by St. Mary influenced my thinking the PAC-12 wasn't so good.

Success in the Dance does nothing to prove how good a conference is unless you believe wins are the most important stat by which to judge a pitcher.

Must be thrilling for you that the Pac-12 is doing so well. Somehow I think you Ute fans are perfectly happy with this and are okay with living vicariously through your conference. Its almost as if you all will throw a Pac-12 parade in SLC if AZ or UCLA actually wins the whole thing.

As for me, I couldn't care less if Gonzaga or St. Mary's does jack squat in the post season. Nor did I have any enjoyment come my way if UNLV, NM, or SDSU had post season success when BYU was in the MWC.

funk spends all his time arguing that limited game samples don't mean much and a team can only be measured over its entire output. At least, he spends all his time arguing that until it doesn't fit his argument.
