Mpfunk being right in such a clear manner is so rare an occurrence that when it happens he's going to milk it to death and keep posting about it for 10 or 20 years.

          Good point.

Spring training is starting and I was hoping he'd post something about MLB. But I can see why he doesn't want to talk about the A's.

Is he still an A's fan? Sorry, I can't keep track.

He was when Dave Rice was riding Lon Kruger's coattails and Larry Krystkowiak was trying to repair what Jim Boylen burned to the ground.

Also, to further answer cougjunkie's questions regarding the respective NCAA tournament success of Krystkowiak and Rice.

As stated above, as a head coach Rice is 0-2 with 2 trips to the dance. He also has lost to worse seeds both times.

Krystkowiak is 1-2 in the NCAA tournament. He has been in the tournament twice with Montana and got an upset victory over 5 seed Nevada in 2006. Since Utah is a lock this year for the NCAA tournament, he should surpass Rice in appearances. He has surpassed Rice already in victories.
