I'm worried. I haven't watched BYU this year, but from following this board I've learned that Collinsworth found a good surgeon, Haws spent the summer focused on learning to shoot, and there is a big guy who can make left-handed layups.

Utah is not a run-and-gun team. If we get in a shoot-out, we are going to lose. This will also be our first test against a team that primarily plays zone (I assume BYU plays zone since they always play zone). Our offense is still getting used to Dave Christensen, but once Travis gets the hang of it, LOOK OUT is a work in progress. We basically rely on one of three plays (a) Delon driving all the way to the rim, (b) Delon driving and kicking to a shooter/#JAKPOT, (c) Brandon Taylor trying to beat the shot clock.

For those in attendance, enjoy. This will be your only chance to watch #JAKPOT in action.

I have only seen a few minutes of Utah basketball (the infamous trash strewn Witchita St game) but it looked like once BYU makes Poeltl run up and down the floor a few times in an uptempo fashion he'll to tired to do anything the rest of the game. He really didn't look to be in shape.

It will be a good contrast in styles.

Wapiti gave a good analysis. The contrast in styles would suit Utah well in SLC, or even at a neutral spot. However, if BYU can control the game flow in the MC, the chances of BYU winning increase substantially. Utah appears to have a good team, with decent defensive fundamentals and with an very ordinary offensive scheme.

BYU on the other hand has a very good backcourt with less than stellar interior defense.
