I wonder if there is any chance that Krysto can get a MTC recruiting pipeline going like Dave Rose.

I doubt he has the connections required. Besides that Dave, as an RM, has likely mastered the capacity to cry on cue. If young men of the tribe want to get inside the knickers of the womenfolk, it requires either the ability to sing or to cry on cue. I am thinking Rose, like many of us, had to go down the route of the latter. Serious skill to use at the MTC to get em to think you are a monkey when you wants to catch a monkey.

It also great when self righteous stringpullers can then bare witness of the integrity of former missionary comps and the high priority they held their own mission as they waited until the plane ride home to start figuring out what they were going to do with their post mission lives. If by damn any school could not wait for that schedule then they did not want t go there!

I mean how it must have hurt Utefans to hear that Aggie fans feel Krystkowiak has the same class as Dave Rose. FTR Ute fans, I don't think that is a compliment.

I think I am pretty clear that I think "class" is a pointless concept. I think it funny whenever fans start commenting/judging/evaluating the class of an opposing teams HC. I don't think fans are as informed about what opposing coaches actually do than they think they are. I think fans are likely far less informed what their own team's coaches do than they think they are as well. I also think none of those who carry on about class are likely to be willing to uniformly applicate their nebulous and changing standards wrt class to their own coaches. For instance I will bet that you were far more offended by Lavell Edwards RUTS on anyone he did it to than you were about what Kyle did to Joe Glenn and Wyoming. I just think that we should recognize our limitations and stay away from the class critiques.

Further, I just find the class critique to the be ultimate surrender. Usually, those moaning about class are fans of the losing team. Especially given the unique dynamics of the BYU-Utah-USU rivalries where to a large percentage of the fanbases moral highground is such valuable real estate. The class critique is usually an effort to find balm of gilead for the losing sides wounded soul. I cannot stand the image that I would allow my opponent to have such glee at my expense and that I would appear like such a stringpuller, hence I doubt I ever criticize an opposing coach's class. For example, I might point out the obvious hypocrisy of Utenation wrt years of Women of Srbrnca like whining about Lavell and then nary a peep about Urban or Kyle, but as for Kyle he did his damn job as he saw fit and I will afford him the privilege of doing such.

Your analysis of "classy" reminds me of how my dad re-worked the lyrics to that country song "Trashy Women" because he found it offensive. I can still remember his version of the chorus:

I like my women just a little on the classy side.
When they wear clothes just right and their hair is styled
Too much lipstick and too much rouge
May be the things that other men choose
But I like my women just a little on the classy side.

He was actually in a profession that allowed him to perform this version on a number of occasions and it was always well-received by the demographic that he catered to. But that's a thread for another day.

Yes, the rules are different for missions. But calling a player who's committed just to explore the strength of his commitment seems like something opposing coaches do all the time in the recruiting game. I don't get Stew's angst.

He's great on The League. His music is hilarious. That is easily one of my top 3 favorite shows on tv right now.
