for a "small" school to go on a title game run, lose a first-round pick, and make it to the Elite 8 the next year is seriously impressive.Originally posted by LiveCoug View PostMan.. if Butler pulls this off, that is seriously amazing. Two final fours in two years for ANY team is impressive let alone a Horizon League team."I don't know the origin of said bitch booming."-Art Vandelay

Butler was a middling team in January. Always a tournament team, but IIRC they were a projected double-digit seed. They got their stuff together late, won the conference tourney, and here they are.Originally posted by PaloAltoCougar View PostHow did Butler lose nine games, including those with teams like Wright State, Youngstown State and Milwaukee? I was impressed how they maintained composure with Florida up by ten or or so midway through the second half."I don't know the origin of said bitch booming."-Art Vandelay

Great win by Butler. I feel like the officiating was pretty one-sided for Florida, but it seemed like it evened out in OT with a lot of Butler's points coming at the line.
As someone who picked Pitt to win it all, it's nice to see that the entire bracket got busted and nobody likely picked Butler in the final four...
Imagine if Kansas beats VCU, they will have beaten the 16, 8, 12, and 11 seeds to get there and then draw an 8 in Butler in the final four. Butler is no slouch though.

Well, because he thought it was good sport. Because some men aren't looking for anything logical, like money. They can't be bought, bullied, reasoned, or negotiated with. Some men just want to watch the world burn.

VCU has a George Mason feel to them. At least I hope.Originally posted by DrumNFeather View PostImagine if Kansas beats VCU, they will have beaten the 16, 8, 12, and 11 seeds to get there and then draw an 8 in Butler in the final four.
