The problem is that more than utefans.net reporting it right now. KSL is reporting it and I'm really hoping they are wrong.

I'm done with this basketball program and I'm done with Chris Hill. We needed a new basketball coach and a new AD. Unfortunately, we should have got the new AD first. Unreal.
There might be some staff additions that will make you feel better. And I don't know why BYU fans would make fun of hiring K., if he's the one. He already has more coaching accomplishments to his name as a coach than Rose or Cleveland or Reid, BYU's last 3 coaches, had when they were hired at the Y, and they worked out just fine.

Unless our staff is Donny Daniels, Tommy Connor, and Jeff Judkins, I'm not going to feel better at all.

Consider this me divorcing Ute basketball and adopting the Oregon Ducks. So long Huntsman Center, hello Matthew Knight Arena.

Dixie College by way of Pine View High School. If he'd had a stop at Weber State in there, he'd have a perfect resume.

Hey, come on, there's a much more successful basketball program right in your own back yard that would love to haver your support. No need to waste it on Oregon.

Back up from the cliff, MP. This may serve a wake up call for the program. You can't live off previous accomplishment. Hopefully, Hill and the merry band of boosters will realize that a rosy tradition is not enough to lure a top name. Time to invest in the facilities(and not just an upgrade for the huntsman), time to work on improving relationship with the students and recent alumni, etc, etc, etc.

Good riddance. When will you be changing your football allegiances so that we can be done with your charade?

Why not hire the better option of the 2 guys that both want your job?

You know what isn't a good way to improve relationships with the students and alumni, hire a coach that everyone of them hates.

Look I'm venting and am pretty unhappy about this right now. Tomorrow, I'll back away from the edge and be a Ute hoops fan. I'll keep watching the games and cheering for the team. I'll just spare my son the same torment and make him a Duck fan .

Maybe he preferred Krystobggujjgflk. He obviously liked him well enough last time around to have him at the top of the list in 2006.

What were people expecting? This seems like what one would expect given the bait you were fishing with. Rock's column made it sound like the football upgrades sucked all the money away leaving the basketball program with limited resources to hire a coach.

You really can't judge this hire for another three years.
                                Give 'em Hell, Cougars!!!

For all this His anger is not turned away, but His hand is stretched out still.

Not long ago an obituary appeared in the Salt Lake Tribune that said the recently departed had "died doing what he enjoyed most—watching BYU lose."
