Any relation between the Duke assistant and co-author of Majerus' autobiography?

I sure hope not. It doesn't make sense for Utah to offer the job.Originally posted by Surfah View PostSportsByBrooks reporting that Dave Rice turned down the Wyoming job. Has Utah contacted him?
Of course, it also doesn't make sense for Rice to turn down Wyoming. Wyoming is about as good of a job that he could expect unless he thinks that taking a better job in a lower tier conference is a better means to advance his career. As I lead this army, make room for mistakes and depression

1280 is saying Steve Wojo was contacted by Utah. Anyone know if that is true?Originally posted by mpfunk View PostI sure hope not. It doesn't make sense for Utah to offer the job.

I have heard it in enough places to think it has some legs. His wife is from Utah, so I think that is some of the draw for him. If we end up taking an assistant, I would prefer Dave Rice to Wojo.Originally posted by cougjunkie View Post1280 is saying Steve Wojo was contacted by Utah. I will take it if it means they actually play defense :igiveup:Originally posted by Surfah View PostI can't wait for the Utes to start slapping the floor on defense."The first thing I learned upon becoming a head coach after fifteen years as an assistant was the enormous difference between making a suggestion and making a decision."

I think he is on the list of those who have been contacted. I'd be surprised if he's very high on the list. My guess is that he is the only assistant on it.Originally posted by Jarid in Cedar View PostI have heard it in enough places to think it has some legs. Hill would be a fool to not go after this guy, even if only for a couple of years.Fitter. Happier. More Productive.

Almost positive he's not. I found out about this book standing outside the terminal of LAX in 1998 -- about six months after the FF run -- from someone high on the chain of command at the publisher of said book. Pretty sure he told me there's no relation when I asked, and added that Wojciechowski isn't that uncommon of a name in Polish communities on the East Coast -- although the author carries the most undecidedly East Coast birthplace of Salina, Kan. (as well as being a Tennessee alum). Steve Wojo is from Baltimore.Originally posted by OrangeUte View PostAny relation between the Duke assistant and co-author of Majerus' autobiography?
