Not true. We did beat UCLA once, though. Anyway, let's keep this thread on track. We want Dave Rice. I am ready to start a Dave Rice bandwagon.“There is a great deal of difference in believing something still, and believing it again.”

Wasn't that the league BYU was in, the one and only time they made a deep run in the NCAA tournament, oh, some 30 years ago?Originally posted by Surfah View PostThe irony in this is that Utah's heyday was in the WAC.

I hope it doesn't have a legacy. That would mean it's dead. It does have a tradition, though, I'll concede that. I am feeling magnanimous today.Originally posted by Blueintheface View PostShhhh....BYU has no football legacy either...turnabout is not fairplay.“There is a great deal of difference in believing something still, and believing it again.”

UCLA is not Utah. Utah is equivalent to a good big sky or WAC school right now in fact if Stew Morrill left UTah state which is a better program than utah would take Dave Rice in a second.Originally posted by mpfunk View PostI'm shocked that UCLA hasn't already fired Ben Howland to get in on Dave Rice right now. Surely, there is going to be a bidding war with some really high profile programs for a guy that hasn't even been the top assistant for the majority of his career and has been a part of 1 NCAA tournament win in those 5 seasons.*Banned*
