What number is Haws? Is he #11?Originally posted by LiveCoug View PostHaws looks incredible in the 5A championship game against Brighton. LP up 30 on the Bengals at the half.
I know that the Toolson kid on that team is Andy's boy. He's a good kid and a long time friend of my oldest boy from when the got to know each other way back in preschool."Socialism is a philosophy of failure, the creed of ignorance and the gospel of envy; its inherent virtue is the equal sharing of misery." - Winston Churchill

That kid can play. Know anything about the kid who thinks he's Jimmer?Originally posted by LiveCoug View PostYeah... he is 11... 22 points at the half."Socialism is a philosophy of failure, the creed of ignorance and the gospel of envy; its inherent virtue is the equal sharing of misery." - Winston Churchill

I don't think it's been mentioned but Noah's bro, Jakob Hartsock gave his verbal. He's a class of 2013 kid and will go on his mission straight out of HS. He's averaging 20 ppg this year as a junior."Nobody listens to Turtle."-Turtlesigpic

Yeah, that's the one. LPHS is pretty loaded this year. Wow.Originally posted by LiveCoug View PostI assume you are referring to Nick Emery (#4). He is BYU bound as well. Great player. Loves to shoot.
I'm just happy that the Hansen kid is going to Utah to play football, but he'd even look good on the hardwood for the Utes right now."Socialism is a philosophy of failure, the creed of ignorance and the gospel of envy; its inherent virtue is the equal sharing of misery." - Winston Churchill

They'll be even better next year with Emery as a senior, Haws as a junior, Toolson as a junior and the Mika kid being eligible to play after transferring. Mika is another BYU verbal.Originally posted by il Padrino Ute View PostYeah, that's the one. LPHS is pretty loaded this year. Wow.

I'm excited about Delgado. I read that Pepperdine and UNLV were looking at Ambrosio, he may turn out to be a nice get. I'm torn on giving that last scholarship to Cusick or not. I think he has earned it but if some great high school player is flying under the radar maybe he should go after them.

From ESPN Insider's recap of the Under Armour AYFH Tournament:
Standout Player:
Nick Emery (Highland, Utah/Lone Peak)
2013, SG, 6-2, 180 pounds
College: BYU
By this point, BYU fans have a good idea of what kind of standout player Emery is. With every national performance, the rest of the basketball world gets its taste. He has old-fashioned, respectful swagger. A tricky handler, Emery needs little space and he’s getting off an accurate 3-pointer. Fond of driving, the future Cougar has excellent vision and accuracy as a passer. Worried about his defense? ESPN 100 PG Rysheed Jordan (Philadelphia, Pa./Vaux Roberts) couldn’t do anything with him on either end.Not bad. BTW, Emery is now ranked 49th in ESPN's top 100. Suck on that SU.Surprise Player:
Eric Mika (Highland, Utah/Lone Peak)
2013, PF/C, 6-9
College: BYU
Never heard of him? There’s a good reason. Mika sat out last season due to a transfer to Lone Peak. He’s a scrapper inside and what he lacks in quickness he makes up for with determination. He’s a 6-foot-9 big who doesn’t mind throwing himself into plays."Nobody listens to Turtle."-Turtlesigpic

Apparently this Lone Peak team was cleaning up in a Philly tournament.
And I saw that there's an ESPN top 50 recruit for next year that BYU will likely have a good shot at.So Russell...what do you love about music? To begin with, everything.
