Locally, they were very complimentary of Jimmer and Loyd and Coach Rose. It has probably run its course already in the Utah media, but for those outside of Utah, have you noticed that usually when Coach Rose is mentioned, his battle with cancer is also part of the discussion?

BYU is definitely one of the featured stories of the tourney thus far and there are a lot of feelgood aspects to this team.

I look at the time slot for the K-State game and it seems that CBS wants to make this one of the few showcase games of Round 2.
Rose's battle with cancer is always mentioned. Also getting love is TJ the Rapper. People are hyping Jimmer like crazy.

I'm loving it. You never hear BYU in DC. Though after the Jimmer and BYU lovefest ended the conversation turned to what the hell has happened to Florida since their two title runs.

You are right. My initial look was with my blue goggles on.

If I had had my SU goggles on I would have said, they put the BYU game up against two BB powerhouses from powerhouse conferences because they know no one cares if they don't get to see BYU play.

Will the BYU-KState game be the primary game for California? We're heading to the Happiest Place on Earth this weekend, and I'm wondering if i'll be able to catch the game in my hotel room, or if i'll have to head to ESPN Zone.

The other 5 PM PDT game is Wake/Kentucky, so I think you have a good chance of getting BYU.

I'm not sure where there was a discussion on the line for this game, but as of right now it looks like -4 KSU. Vegas seems to think this game will be pretty close.

Didn't Indy predict a 15-point BYU loss? If he really believes that, he should get some money on the game pronto.

I'd put money on that line despite my hopes of a Cougar victory. You'd think the huge exhale in Cougar nation would lead to perhaps a more loose and relaxed game for the Cougs on Saturday but I think it will have the opposite effect. I hope I'm wrong.

I wouldn't touch an NCAA tournament point spread with a 10 foot pole.

If it is, I am going to put some money on KSU. Just to hedge my emotions from a loss. Wait, I guess if KSU wins by 2, I lose both ways. Nevermind.

K State to guard Jimmer with their 3. Bad idea. Fisher flirted with this idea and wisely decided to put his quickest guard on Jimmer. Jimmer looks slow enough that you think you could sacrifice a little quickness to put a long guy on him to stop him from being able to shoot over you. Bad idea. Jimmer abuses teams when they switch the high ball screen with either the crossover step back 3 or flying by him on the dribble. You have to guard Jimmer with your quickest guard. It's the only way to slow him down.

I might have to follow CB tomorrow while I watch the game. I imagine that Frank Martin will be well received.

I think under normal circumstances, you would have a point. But if they are planning to put 6'5" Dominique Sutton on Jimmer, they won't be sacrificing any quickness. He's not as fast or quick with the ball as Clemente or Pullen, but defensively he's at least their equal. He's as quick and as good an athlete as BYU has faced all year.

I feel good about this game. I have no good reasons except I think the team will play real loose. I think they have played uptight for weeks. Maybe just wishful thinking.

I agree. The pressure is off and nobody is really expecting them to win. I could see a lot of shots falling that weren't when the pucker factor was a bight tighter.
