I agree completely. Good hell K-state is playing North Texas. A 15 seed that barely made the tournament.

I just looked up North Texas schedule. Wow, pretty bad.

5 of their 8 losses were to teams ranked 200 or worse in RPI.
1 loss was to 177 RPI
Other two losses were double digit losses to to Big 12 teams.

Not one victory over a team in the top 100. Best win was 109 RPI

      They are really bad.

        That is more like it!

By the way BYU has the most wins in the country combined in football and basketball. 30 and 11.

This is truly a golden era in BYU sports. Hopefully it means BYU is becoming the 21st century's Notre Dame from a sports perspective.

We need a run at least to the Sweet Sixteen, though. And then a BCS Bowl win in football. It could happen.

My head tells me KSU will win, probably by a lot, given its speed and size. But let us recall 1981. BYU was coming off of a hard-fought win over a lower-seeded Princeton, and was facing a bigger and faster opponent in UCLA. The Bruins had at least four future NBA'ers (Rocket Rod Foster, Darren Daye, Kenny Fields, Mark Eaton, that I recall). BYU ran the Bruins into the ground, with Danny Ainge's fast break, pull-up jumpers still fresh in my memory.

Can BYU do it again 29 years later? This is a time to go with the heart, not the head. BYU by 12.

KSU struggles with NTSU, Baylor struggles with SHSU. Sounds like the Big 12 is weak, very weak.
                  Give 'em Hell, Cougars!!!

For all this His anger is not turned away, but His hand is stretched out still.

Not long ago an obituary appeared in the Salt Lake Tribune that said the recently departed had "died doing what he enjoyed most—watching BYU lose."

It should be another early game, tipping off sometime between 10 and 12:30. CBS tends to follow the same format down the brackets; for example the winners of the games that are just now tipping off will play in Saturday's late games.

KSU struggled? We got a win in the tourny! It's all gravy now! I am off the pessimistic bandwagon and fully on board! Go Cougs!

Beat them by only 20. Very weak.

Hack. Not that anyone besides waup is surprised by it, but still a hack.

There is still room on Surfah's rooter bus! Even for you SeattleUte.

I think the worst thing that could have happened to KSU was blowing out NT like they did. And the best thing that could have happened for BYU was winning a tough game. I hope KSU comes out thinking they're going to walk all over a tired, overrated BYU team. I am stoked for this one. I will be listening to Amazing before the game. Go Cougars!

K State looks like a more skilled and polished version of SDSU and UNLV. They contest every shot and go hard to the glass. It's not a good matchup for us. But anything can happen in a one game setting. I'm just enjoying the journey. Do we have a game time yet?
