After all, according to Bill, Duke has been in many, many games like this; Duke's players are simply better, and have been in high stakes games "since elementary school;' he "loves the super teams;" yada yada yada. The guy made a complete jackass of himself for at least two solid minutes without stopping. It was quite a demonstration of unintentional self-parody.
I suspect all Jazz fans have similar feelings about Bill Walton from the finals runs of the late 90s.
Ain't it like most people, I'm no different. We love to talk on things we don't know about.

Well, because he thought it was good sport. Because some men aren't looking for anything logical, like money. They can't be bought, bullied, reasoned, or negotiated with. Some men just want to watch the world burn.

Whoops. Only one of the greatest college basketball games of all time.

I didn't watch the Duke/WV game because I can't stand to look at Krzxkrzky's rat face, so when I heard that Duke won, it killed any and all excitement for Monday's game.
I hope that you saw the error of your ways and watched the game IPU. It was one for the ages, regardless of who won.

I didn't watch it. Instead, I played Trouble, Sorry and a few hands of Uno with the family. Good times.

I have never paid attention, although I have heard about his rambling idiocy. (I am not even a Jazz fan.) Last night was my first exposure to him. I am sincerely surprised anyone gives him a microphone.

              • Was it strange to anyone else to hear One Shining Moment sung by Jennifer Hudson to close the tourney? Felt weird. Not bad weird, really. Or even good weird. Just weird. Also, either I missed BYU's shining moment in the song, or they didn't get one.

                  Dang. I'm speechless.

If I say that you should feel totally sorry for missing the game, then I am minimizing the good, quality family time that you shared last night.

If I say, "Good for you for taking the opportunity to spend quality time with your family", than I am minimizing what an incredible game that you missed last night.

                  You win either way.

IMO, you can never minimize a game in which Duke is playing. If you look at it from my perspective, I missed out on nothing.

I'm not sure I would call it that, though it was very close and exciting. College basketball is the greatest spectator sport and generates spectacular games constantly, including in the title games of this tournament. The Kansas-Memphis game a couple years back was probably a greater, more unusual game. An amazing come back by Kansas, and there were two teams that I think were better than either one of these. What would have made this game really memorable would have been if that last half court shot had gone in. That would have been something to behold.
