I wonder how many point blank range shots Butler missed through the course of the game."The first thing I learned upon becoming a head coach after fifteen years as an assistant was the enormous difference between making a suggestion and making a decision."

Yeah, that was the best final I remember watching but the wrong team won.Originally posted by TripletDaddy View Postis anyone else not feeling this? what a boring, unemotional celebration.
the butler kids would have been crying their eyes out. Duke players seem relieved.“There is a great deal of difference in believing something still, and believing it again.”

I was listening to the radio coverage on the way home and was amazed at the dopey comments of Bill Walton. The guy went on and on and on and on about how Duke really was clearly the best team and there was never a doubt about the outcome. (Yes, I did wonder if Bill and I had watched the same game.) After all, according to Bill, Duke has been in many, many games like this; Duke's players are simply better, and have been in high stakes games "since elementary school;' he "loves the super teams;" yada yada yada. The guy made a complete jackass of himself for at least two solid minutes without stopping. It was quite a demonstration of unintentional self-parody.“There is a great deal of difference in believing something still, and believing it again.”
