Why do they have to do something about it? Tav apologized, Alford lauded his career, seems they've handled it like adults.

I can't believe people bombed those glasses onto the court. Those glasses are only like two years behind the fashion curve, one should be able to rock those to FHE tomorrow night and score a NCMO with a chick, no?

Tavernari: (Mumbles something under his breath.)

Holmoe: What was that, young man!

Tavernari: (Sarcastically while rolling his eyes) I guess I'm sorry.

Alford: Tom, Tom, it's OK! It's OK. I understand, I've got kids of my own, you know.

Holmoe: Sorry, Steve. It's just...you know how it is. You spend all your time trying to force these kids to do what's right and the first chance they get they're out drinking or swearing or assaulting someone with a mop, you know.

          Alford: Uh, yeah. I guess.

Holmoe: (dragging JT out by his ear) I'm glad you understand. We'll make sure this one doesn't cause you any more problems.

Tavernari: (Turns his head and sticks out his tongue as he exits the room)

The JT-Alford clip was just shown on the morning Sportscenter. I'm at the gym so not sure what the commentators had to say about it.

                Picking up steam

A raucous postgame dispute between New Mexico coach Steve Alford and BYU senior Jonathan Tavernari has drawn a review from the Mountain West Conference, the Deseret News of Salt Lake City reported.

"Tav was great. He made a point of coming to our locker room and he apologized," Alford said, according to the Deseret News. "It was senior night, it was hard. You're talking about a person who has won more games than anybody in the history of BYU basketball. That's why I went to him to tell him how grateful I was to coach against him because he's a terrific player. That's hard, to lose your last home game. I know how hard that is and you can understand it."
                Oh, Steve......
