I totally agree. He is not a defensive game changer. He is a big stiff who only only blocks so many shots because he's so tall. If he weren't so tall, he wouldn't block so many shots.

Also, Utah leads the conference in 3pt defense because they have such a remarkable group of perimeter defenders, and not at all because Foster can clean up after Utah bellies up on the outside and gets beat on the first dribble 10 times per game.

Look, I know you have some fetish because the honorable Chris Hill heartlessly evicted your grandparents from a rental property and forced them to sell their bodies on the street or something, but there are things associated with Utah athletics that do not suck, and one of those things, in particular, is David Foster's defensive ability.

This is the most frustrating part of watching Foster. His stamina is pretty good on the opening tip and the first two possessions, and then he starts huffing, gets all pink and glossy, and labors like Big Country Reeves for the rest of the contest. He must have been a remarkable missionary - so focused, with an eye so single that he had not one waking moment for Jazzercize.

I wish Tyler Haws the same success on his sojourn.

Please explain to me how a defensive game changer has played only 13 and 10 minutes in the last two games against the two worst teams in the conference?

Not wishing to intrude, but I'd speculate that given the Utes won those games, and in view of the aforementioned conditioning (remember how Shawn Bradley dazzled the 76'ers with his post-mission fitness?) they were resting him up for the upcoming titanic battle of the praying mantises, Foster vs. Anderson.

I want to say Praying Manti but it sounds too theocratic.

Mike McLain, in addition to having written, "She Sees a Diamond," perhaps the greatest rock ballad of our time, also runs around a lot in the Air Force offense. I will happily admit that David Foster isn't really good at running around.

Against WYO, I don't really know. Glover got more minutes at the 4, so Tillie played more 5? Waddell only got 20, and that other freakishly athletic dude with an apostrophe in his name also runs around a lot, and I will happily admit that David Foster isn't really good at running around.

So, the evidence for David Foster being a defensive game changer is as follows:

Fifth in the nation in blocks at 4.1 per game
Cleans up all of the almost average Ute perimeter defenders mistakes, allowing Utah to lead the conference by a significant margin in 3pt defense and be top 3 in scoring defense

The evidence against David Foster being a defensive game changer:

He didn't play very much against WYO and AFA
He only gets blocks because he is really tall

I'm not sure what the standard definition of defensive game changer is, but if being really tall and not playing a lot against WYO and AFA are central to it, then David Foster isn't a defensive game changer.

You just make the anti-Jackson folks wear their own asses like hats and they don't even know it.

                You bring joy to me.
