So you're saying AF and their center made the MWC's best defensive player so insignificant that they had to bench him?

Foster isn't much of an offensive threat, so, yes, if you have a center that can pull him away from the hoop, it negates him. Nobody else in the conference has a guy that can do that.

I'm sure that since the Utes won the game, Foster doesn't care. It was best for the team.

If I was voting for DPOY, I would actually vote for Jackson Emery. However, that doesn't make Wrubell's argument any less ridiculous.

I bet Utah sees a lot of BYU's small line-up on the Hill. Hartsock can shoot from decent range and that should give Foster some trouble.

Unless Hartsock can drain 3's, it won't matter. Foster can still hang around in the paint and get a hand up if Hartsock is only 15' from the hoop. Those extra 5 feet and the extra point make all the difference in the world.

Outside of that, I agree. BYU would be smart to take advantage of what they do well: get the ball out and shoot the 3. They can best do that by going small.

The lack of an inside offensive presence is what is really hurting the Utes this year. We just don't have enough offensive firepower to make up for it.

Jackson Emery had 5 more steals against New MExico (should have had 6 was called for a cheap foul on one of them) that is 10 in his last two games. Also 10 since this thread was started, I bet Jackson reads CUF.

David Foster has 1 block and 5 rebounds in 2 games since this thread was started. Speaks volumes.

Does the thread coincide with threats to remove Foster's parents from the church roles if he doesn't tank it?

So you and SU will be cheering extra hard for Foster to put up a triple-double against BYU?

Well, Hartsock certainly isn't going to stuff it or get an easy layup. He's too timid with someone in his face. For BYU, someone needs to pee in Hartsock's cereal to get him fired up.

He is also a defensive game changer according to several posters on here. So much so that against a 1-13 MWC team he was benched because their center completely neutralized his defensive ability.

What I can't figure out is how he can't have better conditioning by this point in the season. 5 or 6 trips up the floor, blocks or not, they've gotta sub for him. He's lost a ton of weight and can't seem to keep it on either. It's all that sliding and foot work. It's gotta be.

I suggested that emoticon back when DDD was soliciting new ones. Someone named Babs, who shall remain nameless, thought it was creepy.
