I think he's quoting Lorenzo Wade from last year.

what a game. Jimmer was unreal.

I think the turning point however was when Rose put Abouo in the game, he gave us a huge lift with his defense and rebounding. He had 5 rebounds in 11 minutes as well as that huge block at the end. I do not think SDSU had an offensive board after he came in to the game.

in the words of SU: MONSTER WIN!!!!!!!!!!!!

By my recollection, within the final two minutes of the game, JT turned over the ball twice and launched up an NBA 3 with 25 seconds left on the shot clock.
Part of it is based on academic grounds. Among major conferences, the Pac-10 is the best academically, largely because of Stanford, Cal and UCLA. “Colorado is on a par with Oregon,” he said. “Utah isn’t even in the picture.”

You're right and those last two points were important.

I'm not the most sophisticated basketball watcher, but it seemed to me that our defense improved trmendously when Abouo came in. Was that coincidence, or due to Abuou's play, or due to things we were able to do differently with the changed personnel?

Abouo was huge. Haws was limping and needed a rest and we needed some strength on the boards. He came up with some very big defensive boards.

Jimmer is amazing to watch. Those back to back long 3s were a thing of beauty. To bad for SDSU that they don't have a MikeWaters caliber player on their team.

Man, Abouo is a boring interview.

BYU just mentioned on teams that impressed today on College Basketball Final.

When SDSU went up in the first few minutes of the second half, I waivered in my faith. My mind said that BYU would fold up their tents and chalk it up to fatigue and road woes. But in my heart I felt that they would come back, because they have been nails this year - never throwing in the towel. Well, I'm glad my heart was right. I'm glad Jimmer is feeling better. I'm glad Charles Abuou knows how to rebound and muscle people around. I'm just glad to be able to watch a team that finds ways to win.

Great win, but I must say I'm already wavering in my faith regarding the UNM game next week. They have a few days to rest, but it seems that a win like this takes something out of players.

I'll be 100% on the wagon if they can pull it off though.

We should be top 10 on Monday. When's the last time that happened?

Edit: Actually, I'd be surprised if we make top 10, considering that while #9 lost, they also beat #1, and while #11 lost, they lost to the team right behind us. We should move up another spot or two and should be top 10 for sure if we can get through next week.
