Campaign to keep Tyler Haws from going on a mission

He doesn't play PG for his high school team. I heard he played PG for his summer team, but it's hard for me to believe he did it effectively. If a 6'6" pg is good, then a 6'11" pg is even better, right? Playing point guard, he'd be matched up against a guy twice as quick that he won't be able to hang with defensively and will pick him apart on D because he's not used to playing that low to the ground to protect his dribble.

If he doesn't play PG, I wonder how he leads the state in assists per game. He is a point guard.

As for the D, he is not obligated to guard the shortest guy on the other team because he happens to play PG on offence.

Do you watch him play? Are you familiar with his game? I'm curious why you're so emphatic about him playing point guard. I've only seen him play a couple times. Once on TV and once in person, and some various youtube clips. I feel quite certain based on his skill level and strengths and Rose's philosophy that he has zero chance being the BYU point guard. But it's just my opinion, I don't have any inside info on the matter.
