I’m tired of political parties exploiting the weaknesses of the constitution for their benefit. The electoral college was not meant to be used this way to win elections. Biden needs a solid comfortable lead to win the election, and it could still be by the slimmest of EC margins. Someone tell me what a Trump win without a majority of support, the third in 2 decades, would do to the morale of this country. We wouldn’t have a civil war. It would just accelerate the country’s apathetic decline.

Of course, we will have to defend the eastern border. If MAGA regions aren’t happy with our new country they can make a run for the east.

Nevada? Talk about cruel and unusual.

What does that have to do with SCOTUS?

Nothing. Sorry. PAC referred to the EC in a post after you. I was replying to that.

LOL... that is funny. However, I am pretty sure that folks didn't vote for Drumpf because they thought he was a good preacher and wanted a theocracy.

                  • Haha. Ok. Lots of people voted for Trump thinking he was a good Christian. Those people are dumb, but that is redundant.

Trump to nominate Amy Coney Barrett to Supreme Court: sources
The president is expected to make the announcement during a White House event on Saturday

President Trump plans to announce that Amy Coney Barrett will be his nominee to the Supreme Court to fill the seat vacated by the death of Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg, multiple sources told Fox News on Friday.

Everything I have read about her she is a nun. I am betting that the Dems will argue that she is too moral, especially campared to the crowd they like to hang out with. The NYTimes is already on the attack:

In a 2006 speech to Notre Dame graduates, she spoke of the law as a higher calling. “If you can keep in mind that your fundamental purpose in life is not to be a lawyer, but to know, love and serve God, you truly will be a different kind of lawyer,” she said.
                      [...]
As a law professor, Judge Barrett was a member of Faculty for Life, an anti-abortion group, and wrote skeptically about precedent in Supreme Court rulings, which both sides in the abortion debate took to mean she would be open to revisiting Roe v. Wade.

                        1864 R

NOTE: Many of the Rs in the 1800s were originally Whigs that became Republicans with the advent of the Republican Party.

If we go all the way back 100 years to include pretty much everyone alive today, Iowa voted Dem in 9 out of the 25 elections.
If we're looking at my lifetime, there have been 12 presidential elections and Iowa has voted democratic in 6 of them. It's as color-shifting a state as you can get in my lifetime.

Heck, Iowa voted for Woodrow Wilson, FDR, and (LOL!) Dukakis. Clinton cleaned up in Iowa. So did Obama. So I conclude that Iowa being tied with a candidate as miserable as Trump, well, it isn't exactly a shocker.
Trump won Iowa by ten (10) points four years ago. :|. I guess I could have cited other states' polls that are more surprising. It bears repeating that TEXAS is now a battleground state.
