How do you eff this up so royally? Unreal. The goal is to oust the worst incumbent president in a century, and you end up with an old, senile Presidential candidate and the least likable person in the entire primary as his running mate.

They are so dumb. I can't wait to hear what my poly-sci friend said about this.

Fwiw I disliked Elizabeth Warren more.

Seriously. She was one of only a couple people he could have picked that would have automatically disqualified him in my eyes. And I know I’m not the only one that was seriously considering him that feels the same way. Makes absolutely no sense.

Biden eliminated half the room with his commitment to select a woman. Then Klobuchar backed him into a narrow corner when she withdrew from consideration by saying he should select a woman of color. Had he not selected a black woman, there would have been some outrage on the left to deal with.

Assuming he could only select a black woman as his running mate, which would you have preferred?

What do you find disqualifying about his selection of Harris? Which other selections would have also been disqualifying?

At least the police can breathe easy that they'll not be reformed and be able to continue to make whatever arrests are wanted.

                • Good pick. Hits all the boxes needed to shore up Dem support. Harris can be the attack dog and will be good at it in what I'm sure is going to be a mudfest. Biden can stand above it all.

And a good opponent in four years against which the Repubs can win should they decide to pull their heads out of their asses.
                  Give 'em Hell, Cougars!!!

For all this His anger is not turned away, but His hand is stretched out still.

Not long ago an obituary appeared in the Salt Lake Tribune that said the recently departed had "died doing what he enjoyed most—watching BYU lose."

She was dislikable 1B for me. But yeah, those were the two no-fly-zones IMO. Ms. Harris is going to have some explaining to do regarding her prosecutorial tactics (which she used primarily to lock away people of color, btw). Seems like the wrong climate in which to ask that can of worms to be opened.

I would have considered voting for him if he had selected any of the people that he was considering except Harris or Warren.

Harris disqualified herself by being a serial liar, having no respect for the Constitution, and putting her own self-aggrandizement over what's best for the Country and her constituents. Her behavior during the Kavanaugh hearings is what ultimately disqualified her for me. No way I'd ever cast a vote for her after that.

Warren's problems are different. She's seems like a decent person (by politician standards), but she's a true-believer socialist that would have destroyed the economy.

This VP pick was more significant than most, given Biden's age and apparent health and the likelihood that he will not run again in four years.

I don't remember Harris' behavior during the Kavanaugh hearings. Anywhere I can look for a recap?

All the Dems were horrible during that hearing.

That assumes he makes it all four years.

Not doubting that. Was there anything particularly awful about Harris that set her apart from the rest of the Democrats?
