Trump comes out in support of confederate flag.
https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/art...U-S-South.html
And just to be crystal clear that he is giving a nod to southern racists, he includes this zinger:
'Because I think that Fort Bragg, Fort Robert E. Lee, all these forts that have been named that way for a very long time. Fort Bragg is a big deal, we won two world wars. Go to that community where Fort Bragg is … say how do you like the idea of renaming Fort Bragg? And then what are we going to name it? Are we going to name it after the Revered Al Sharpton?' Trump said."There is no creature more arrogant than a self-righteous libertarian on the web, am I right? Those folks are just intolerable."

The demagogue certainly knows how to rally his troops. The entire interview with Mike Wallace is unsurprising yet still disturbing. Among other things, Trump provided the same answer that he did in 2016 when asked if he would accept the results of the upcoming election: "I have to see. Look ... I have to see,...No, I’m not going to just say yes. I’m not going to say no, and I didn’t last time either.”
I love the Biden campaign's response to Trump's predictable equivocation: “The American people will decide this election. And the United States government is perfectly capable of escorting trespassers out of the White House.”)
If the election is close (and let us pray it won't be
), I think there's at least a 50-50 chance Trump will file one or more lawsuits challenging the results in swing states, delaying the final outcome a la Bush v. Gore. . My prediction: Trump will be disappointed by his court nominees.

This is the mind of the man. World wars are beautiful. That is one sick [redacted].We won two world wars, beautiful world wars that were vicious and horrible, and we won them out of all of these forts and now they want to throw all these names away."The mind is not a boomerang. Ok. Switch "hoax" for "nothingburger." There is so much to bag on Trump for. Why focus on Russiagate that was so thoroughly investigated and nothing came if it but a few process crimes?Originally posted by Non Sequitur View PostStill clinging to the "hoax" slogan? Are people still saying that?

Nothing came of the O.J. trial, but he still killed two people. And given that, I'd still hire O.J. to babysit my children before I'd hire Trump.Originally posted by wapiti View PostOk. Zero chance Trump will not relinquish office. 100% he will cry fraud and foul.
I don't worry about Trump doing this. I worry about the devote followers who will believe him. Sorry, just so we are clear... which party didn't accept the results of the last election, lo these 3+ years now gone by?You're actually pretty funny when you aren't being a complete a-hole....so basically like 5% of the time. --Art Vandelay

Agreed that would certainly be ironic if JiC's been doubting the legitimacy of the election these past three years. If not, perhaps he's equally worried about nut-jobs from both sides of the aisle doubting the legitimacy of our elections.Originally posted by Moliere View PostNo doubt. Talk about irony alerts.
