Why are all these non-GOP'ers going to Drumpf rallies?

    Oh...

'The Democratic party left us': how rural Minnesota is making the switch to Trump

Ask Larry Cuffe why, after decades of voting for Democrats, he voted for Donald Trump four years ago, and he’ll talk about his distrust of Hillary Clinton and the need to get northern Minnesota’s mines back to work.

Ask the former police officer why he’s sticking with Trump in 2020 and the list is very much longer.

“The Democratic party left us. Even in the past four years it’s changed so much. Supporting people who riot? Defunding the police? That’s crazy. I think a lot of us up here are Democrats in Republican clothing now,” he said.

Cuffe, who twice voted for Barack Obama, is one of six mayors from a stretch of Minnesota mining country, known as the Iron Range, who turned their back on the Democratic party and signed a joint letter endorsing Trump even as the state is swinging behind the president’s opponent, Joe Biden

The mayors said that after decades of voting for Democrats, they no longer regarded the party as advocating for workers.

“Lifelong politicians like Joe Biden are out of touch with the working class, out of touch with what the country needs, and out of touch with those of us here on the Iron Range and in small towns like ours across our nation,” they said.

You guys are funny... Biden/Harris are not going to win Texas. Harris wants to take our guns for hell sakes!

Kamala Harris Says She Might Confiscate ‘As Many As 10 Million’ Guns

Democratic California Sen. Kamala Harris re-iterated her support for a mandatory gun buyback program Wednesday, saying a government under her leadership may confiscate “as many as 10 million” guns.

The 2020 presidential candidate was asked by MSNBC host Craig Melvin how she would get existing “assault weapons” off the streets, noting that the 1994 Assault Weapons Ban did not include a confiscation program.

“We have to have a buyback program,” Harris said. “I support a mandatory buyback program. It’s gotta be smart. We gotta do it the right way.”
      [...]
      https://dailycaller.com/2019/10/03/k...on-10-million/

She sounds just like that "fake mexican that eats tacos with a fork" boy...

“Hell yes, we’re going to take your AR-15, your AK-47,” he said, answering a question about whether his idea to enact a mandatory buyback program for assault-style rifles is akin to gun confiscation.

The declaration appears to have left O’Rourke in no man’s land, with Democrats slow to rush to his side — and some worrying the issue could hurt Democratic prospects in 2020 — and Republicans using the plan as a way to take aim at broader gun proposals by Democrats.

But political experts say that even if the line is polarizing, it can keep the former El Paso congressman — who continues to poll in the low single digits nationally and in early nominating states — in the race.

O’Rourke “is getting exposure, but he’s also being painted as the gun control candidate,” said Seth McKee, a Texas Tech University associate professor of political science. “That’s not a really good place to be when you’re running for president.”

This kind of talk doesn't sit well with folks in Texas.

Lol. Even when you average in Trafalgar and Rasmussen- crazy outliers- as half your data set you still only show him up +.6? That’s a big win? Hardly. It’s not even out of the margin of error. Maybe you could support that finding with something a bit more substantive and conclusive... like a Tweet from Ronna McDaniel?

Either his campaign is completely idiotic (a definite possibility), or they feel the money is better spent elsewhere. That only makes sense if they think they have Florida in the bag. I hope they're wrong about that, but there does appear to be some indicators that they're right.

Trump truly has encouraged the worst in people. This is pretty awful:

                US elections 2020
Biden campaign says Trump supporters tried to force bus off highway

Trucks with Trump signs and flags surrounded a Biden campaign bus on a Texas highway on Friday and attempted to slow the vehicle down and run it off the road, the Biden campaign said on Saturday.

Several video clips posted on social media by both Biden and Trump supporters showed the trucks surrounding the bus. The trucks then tried to slow the bus down and run it off the road before staff called 911, according to the Biden campaign.

The president himself appeared to endorse the behavior of his supporters, tweeting a video of the incident on Saturday evening along with the comment “I LOVE TEXAS!”

“They’re literally escorting him out of town,” one man says, laughing as he narrates one clip of the incident shared by Trump supporters.

Some of the Trump supporters surrounding the Biden campaign bus were armed, according to Democratic state representative Rafael Anchía and other observers.

While the vice-presidential candidate, Kamala Harris, was campaigning in Texas that day, she not on the bus, a spokesman for a state Democratic representative confirmed.

The incident happened on the I-35 highway in Texas as the bus was traveling from San Antonio to Austin, the Biden campaign said, adding that local law enforcement responded to the campaign’s calls and assisted the bus in reaching its destination.

The campaign did not identify the law enforcement agency.

A group of the same 12 cars has been following the Biden bus all over the country
, CBS News Austin reported, citing Texas Democrats.

Texas state Democrats also said they cancelled a campaign event on Friday evening for “public safety and security reasons.”

A Democratic campaign event scheduled for Friday evening in Pflugerville was cancelled due to security concerns related to the cars following the Biden bus, Sheryl Cole, a Democratic state representative, tweeted on Friday.

“Unfortunately, pro-Trump Protesters have escalated well beyond safe limits,” she wrote.

The decision to cancel the Pflugerville event came after Democrats received reports in the late afternoon that there had been some kind of collision between a pro-Trump vehicle and another vehicle on I-35, André Treiber, a spokesperson for Cole, told the Guardian. The details of the incident on the highway are still not clear, Treiber said, including whether the collision turned out to be “an accident or an escalation”.

The only clip I saw in there was one where a Democrat tried to run a black Trump truck off the road. Apparently there’s no footage of them trying to run the bus off the road because it likely didn’t happen. Still, dumb of the trump supporters to surround the bus but what do you expect?

Likely didn't happen? The Biden campaign called off events that day. If they weren't explicitly trying to slow down/deter/push the bus off the road, the most charitable option is still pretty bad; intimidation without thought of potential vehicle accidents.

If Biden is leading after Tuesday, game over. Right? Republicans are boycotting mail voting and seems to me the late arriving ballots are always overwhelmingly for the democratic candidate.

This is so stupid. Harassing an opponents campaign bus like that is what you expect in a Third World banana republic. Shame on Texas.
