Question: Does Covid cause you to send profanity-laced text messages to your sisters about the cleanliness (or lack thereof) of your shared bathroom? Hoping the answer is "yes".

Our family caught it this week as well. COViD is definitely alive and well in the east coast and will be in Utah once Omaha gets back from his restful flight.

yes. in fact one of the symptoms is that it takes control of your fingers. the only way to avoid those profanity laced messages is to avoid your phone completely. kinda scary, tbh, but it gets better.

We have had 3 rounds of viruses in the past 2 months in our house. One was influenza type A 4 weeks ago. My son and I have something else right now, but have tested negative with rapid tests. My sister had something last week and passed it on to my mom at her nursing home. We watched my niece last week and assume that's where we got it. All negative for covid though. Of my larger family, only my mom, my son, and I have never got covid. The last few weeks make me nervous it's inevitable.

Ok then. Listen, I'm all for getting back to normal life. But this is just dumb reasoning. I don't know anything about this judge, but from reading this order, I know she is not bright.

My guess is she had a flight booked to Europe or Hawaii today. Dumb reasoning or not she's my favorite federal judge right now.

We were there a week ago: me and the misses down with COViD (bad flu) but the kids were negative. Then the day before spring break ended, they all tested positive (though no symptoms). Enjoy the week!

We're pretty sure we all got it when Omicron was raging. Mrs. Diddley's been sick the last couple of weeks with some sort of cold, but tested negative for covid. I caught it from her a week ago, and am mostly over it now.

We're pretty certain our oldest brought it home from school. She had a very mild "cold" that got bad enough that she stayed home from church. Mrs. D then got it, but even milder than #1. Then I got it. While it didn't incapacitate me, I would classify it as the worst cold i've had in about 10-15 years. Heavy sinus congestion, mild sore throat, runny nose, cough, and a headache. No chills or fever.

For me, it came on during our last day at Disneyland (so I was likely shedding COVID all over the happiest place on earth for 3 days). I woke up with a mild sore throat, that went away once I drank water. Wasn't even enough to make me think I was sick. The next morning it was slightly worse, as I felt nasal congestion. Day 3 it was bad enough that I called in and worked from home, despite having just taken a few days off the week before. Around noon, on Day 3 of symptoms, I cracked open a DMD and thought "this tastes bad. It must be expired." But I had bought the 12-pack the week before. It was perfectly fine. I immediately realized my sense of taste was off and did a home test. Took all of 15 seconds to read positive. I called and set and appointment for a PCR test the next morning and worked from home all week. Confirmed positive by the PCR test.

Other than my oldest and Mrs. D, nobody else in my family showed any symptoms, if they got it. Interestingly (to us, anyway) Mrs. D (MMM) and #1 (PP) both got pretty sick after each vaccination/booster shot. No symptoms whatsoever for me (PPM) after any of my injections. They both skirted by with a mild Covid, and I got it much worse.

The ruling from the judge is a gift to Biden. Repealing the mandate is probably the right thing to do but he couldn’t do it himself because of the optics. But now it’s gone and he doesn’t take the hit from his party for repealing it, plus by November no one will remember any of this anyway.

Right, this election wont be about the masking policy or the culture wars (despite the culture warriors claiming it is because they need the culture war to make a living). This will be the inflation election.
