At what point did you / will you take the coronavirus epidemic seriously?

I'm a little worried about supply chains and Covid-19 moves thought the essential work sector.

I know there has been an outbreak at the pork plant in South Dakota. I hear from my relatives is Alberta there are bad cases at meat processing plants in Alberta.

I know Amazon employees have complained. I'm hoping that the meat processing business is unique and not a sign of things to come in other industries.

Yeah, pretty much. This is the price for May contracts in Cushing. They estimate to be out of storage sometime in May so people are dumping the May contracts but liquidity is extremely thin since the May contracts settle tomorrow so most pricing is already based on June contracts. It's a perfect storm to drive the price negative. Makes me wish I had an empty storage tank in Cushing to play with the arbitrage...of course if I did have a tank there it would probably already be full

I think we should be realistic about what we can control and work on that. And media and politicians need to be honest and clear with the public about what that is.

The margin of error puts the number of infected between 28 and 55 times the official number. Currently California has only 31 deaths per million people compared to 965 for NY and 493 for NJ. The percentage of population that was infected in NY/NJ has to be very high.
