    That’s a nice prediction.

You cut that pretty close, but by the end of the day you'll need to unSUish that one.

Experimental drug remdesivir is showing promise. I've been watching this for a few days, and am hopeful.

Yes. I’m more hopeful about this than hydroxychloroquine.

Edit: An editorial on the effect COVID-19 will have on the fight against other diseases:

Prepare for collateral damage as devastating as the virus

THE PANDEMIC of the novel coronavirus is a bow wave, slicing through whole populations at breakneck speed. But what is not being seen yet is the enormous collateral damage to global health. The pandemic is making it harder or impossible to combat such scourges as measles, polio, HIV, tuberculosis and malaria, which caused death and suffering even before covid-19, and now will bring even more. The wake of the pandemic may become every bit as devastating as the bow wave.

This sounded promising at first, but got less so as I read further. That said, if you did receive the BCG vaccine when young (unlikely if you grew up in the U.S.), you may have some extra resistence to COVID-19.

Does the BCG vaccine help with Covid-19? The experts weigh in

It is interesting that the U.S. is one of a small number of countries that does not administer BCG at birth or during childhood.

Hmmmmmmm, Dr. Fauci or Dr. Phil?

After Fauci urged caution in reopening the economy, Fox News turned to Dr. Phil for a second opinion

Disaster on the horizon? No doubt Abe and the Japanese Government stalled doing anything aggressive hoping that the Olympics could still happen. Once they announced the postponement, they suddenly got serious (more like kind of serious) about the virus. Japan has only conducted 100,000 tests, less than 1,000 per million population.

Ten days into Tokyo’s half-hearted emergency, virus cases rise by new daily record

Critics say Abe is too concerned with trying to limit economic damage and has failed to take the decisive measures needed to bring the virus under control.

I never knew Dr. Phil was a medical doctor. He's a horrible person.

You act as if there are no degrees of an economic downturn. Scale has no meaning to you.
