Also expect your insurance company to deny the claim even if you and/or your attorney believes you should or could be covered. This is going to be litigated. The govt has been toying with the idea of making insurers pay and backstopping it like they did with TRIA when 911 happened.

Yeah, everyone is trying to find the golden eggs of treatment and a vaccine. mrs. myboynoah was asking last evening when we will get back to normal. My view is that normal doesn't happen until we get that treatment and a vaccine. Then people will feel confident in engaging in a public life.

In the meantime, the cavalry to the rescue!

Utah seems to really be up and running well. I filled out the survey last night, got an appointment for 8:00 am this morning. Drove through the entire process in 15 minutes. Got my results by email 16 hours later. Apart from the swab being way more uncomfortable than it sounds, it was super easy and efficient.

Speaking specifically of utah, it seems like we are pretty much spinning our wheels as it relates to cv and social distancing. Utah had it's first death on March 22. In that first week there were six deaths. Now, three weeks later we have 18 deaths - 6 deaths a week for the past three weeks. hospitalizations have remained constant for that same time period. testing, people wanting to get tested, is even dropping off while positive tests remain consistently in that 5% positive range as they have since the beginning. in utah, there is no curve rather just a flat line. there is no progress. hospitals are about 20% capacity. we are laying off and cutting the pay of healthcare providers. speaking specifically of utah, what are we doing? wouldn't it make sense to sensibly and slowly open some businesses back up?

initially, the narrative was that we need to flatten the curve. we have absolutely done that and more in utah. the million dollar question, at least in my mind is this- what exactly do we want to see in order to start opening things back up at least to an extent? what kind of numbers are we looking for? we could go on like this forever, keep hospitals at 20% capacity, lay off medial professionals, average 4-6 deaths a week, but we can't do this forever. what is the end game?
