At least weapons of mass destruction had some plausibility of an imminent threat. Now we're reduced to having no choice but to follow Israel's lead, powerless to convince them to stop their own preemptive strikes:

The country was already in a bad place that the president (whoever they are) can preemptively attack a nation without congressional authorization. Now we have a war being justified on the weakest of reasons with a president not even pretending to care if congress would authorize it or not.
