As it turns out, Mitt’s national security advisor for his failed 2012 campaign sits on the board of directors for “Burisma.”

PRESSURING A FOREIGN GOVERNMENT TO INTERFERE ON YOUR BEHALF IN DOMESTIC ELECTIONS = VERY BAD.

PRESSURING A FOREIGN GOVERNMENT TO INVESTIGATE CROOKS = GOOD.
What is "the kids in the back" ruling for letting a VP's child serve on a foreign company's board? I know! Let's ask Liz...

All we need now is an overarching theory that both Romney and Biden are butthurt (Romney for losing the election to Obama, and Biden losing the nomination to Clinton), and have a secret pact to run together as an independent ticket in 2020, right???

Makes about as much sense as insinuating something nefarious because his advisor was on the board also, but #whataboutism is a hell of a drug.

I can't stand Warren, but gotcha questions/clips are dumb.

They are very entertaining, IMHO. Warren is dumb.

Ted, did you actually read the absurdly pro-Trump Wayne Dupree's essay that you linked? And did you find it genuinely persuasive or merely entertaining? If the latter, I have no problem with you; if the former, I'll be forced to reevaluate my previously high regard for your intelligence. Why would the service on the board of any company by one (of hundreds) of Mitt's advisers mean that Mitt has "very close ties to Hunter Biden’s company"? Making that argument should be embarrassing to anyone with a functioning cerebrum, but perhaps that's the explanation right there.

I also enjoyed his dig at Mitt's "veneers and fake tan." This guy is defending Trump right? Where to begin with a personal counterattack?

                • Good lord:

House Intelligence Committee Chairman Adam Schiff (D-Calif.) on Thursday denounced President Trump's remarks about those involved in a whistleblower complaint focused on his dealings with Ukraine, arguing Trump's comments amounted to “witness intimidation.”

"The President’s suggestion that those involved in the whisteblower complaint should be dealt with as 'we used to do' for 'spies and treason' is a reprehensible invitation to violence against witnesses in our investigation," Schiff tweeted after reports surfaced that Trump described the whistleblower and officials who gave them information as "almost a spy."

He is in gross violation of federal whistleblower policy. I don't know if it's law, but might as well add that to the list of "high crimes and misdemeanors." There is a set process for federal whistleblowing and it is supposed to be protected for obvious reasons. This is way, way out of line.

When are people going to finally wake up?

For all this His anger is not turned away, but His hand is stretched out still.

Not long ago an obituary appeared in the Salt Lake Tribune that said the recently departed had "died doing what he enjoyed most—watching BYU lose."

So it is a law. Here we go from Wikipedia:

The Whistleblower Protection Act of 1989, 5 U.S.C. 2302(b)(8)-(9), Pub.L. 101-12 as amended, is a United States federal law that protects federal whistleblowers who work for the government and report the possible existence of an activity constituting a violation of law, rules, or regulations, or mismanagement, gross waste of funds, abuse of authority or a substantial and specific danger to public health and safety. A federal agency violates the Whistleblower Protection Act if agency authorities take (or threaten to take) retaliatory personnel action against any employee or applicant because of disclosure of information by that employee or applicant.[1]
