NYT has the receipts of a scandal that would sink any other president but is just a weekday for Trump. Skirting laws to give no-bid contracts to cronies, pressuring a DA to charge innocent people, brazenly lying about vandalism in the face of all contradictory evidence, and continuing to attack single citizens because of their political affiliation.

when something like a renovation scandal is brought up when there are so many more consequential things Trump does. But this episode reflects a lot of his pathologies, which no doubt are manifest in those worse scandals.

The collective scientific ignorance isn't limited to the US, but it is jarring to watch the highest elected official in the country repeating falsehoods that have been debunked many times.
