How could this story be any worse for Weiss? It was a solid journalism piece. They reached out to both the Trump admin and El Salvador for responses. They declined. The story was vetted and reviewed multiple times before the scheduled airing. Then Weiss kills it, there's an internal revolt, but as the editor in chief she can likely weather the storm. Except for the fact that the story aired elsewhere and is easily viewed! So not only is the story out there, but now your own news department can point to it as exhibit 'A' of a probably politically motivated decision to kill the story. Certainly a curious move by someone who ostensibly champions the ideal of a free press.

This ain't the 90's; you can't kill a story without someone sleuthing it out.

According to the NBC and the NYT, lots of Trump-related stuff is getting released. Not a word about redactions.

I'm near 100% certain that there's nothing in the Epstein files that proves or convincingly indicates Trump was a pedophile.

If that information existed, I kind of think that the Garland justice department would have used that instead of investigating him for tax fraud, election interference, Stormy Daniels coverup, and mishandling classified information. That would have been a much better strategy.

Did Larry Nassar and Epstein have any kind of relationship before, if not this almost seems made up but if they did it's terrible for Trump.

And the redaction stuff is making it worse. I do sympathize with the Justice Department for not getting everything out on time. That's a pretty big job to vet all of that in a short timeframe.
