  • I will predict that IPU makes it longer on this venue with Obama as President than Frank is going to make it with the Don as our Chief Executive.

Franky alone has the right to determine whether each one of you are Trump supporters and from what I gather the litmus test is whether he agrees with you.

I actually predicted some of what we are now experiencing. Emphasize some. I didn't see this record we have coming.

I do sincerely hope this is a temporary thing.

Yeah, you know what you can tune out what I say but comparing me to il pad’s reactivity is a bit over the top. It’s pretty clear that you and others would prefer I don’t post but tough luck. And don’t mind me, by all means keep your head firmly up your ass when it comes to Trump.

While it may be conventient to try and discredit my opinions because of my politics, keep in mind I’m far from the only person calling people out for normalizing Trump’s increasing instability and repugnant diviseness.

But you can count on me to consistently insist Trump is a shitty president. I don’t blindly bag on Republicans and voted for Republican candidates more times the il pad has Democrats. I’m not a conservative and never will be, but my commentary is about Trump, his supporters and apologists, not conservatism.

How Republicans Got Trump Catastrophically Wrong

                https://www.theatlantic.com/politics...-wrong/542568/

During last year’s election—back before Washington Republicans awoke to the dangers of an erratic and impulsive commander in chief tweeting his way into “World War III”—there was a common argument deployed by party loyalists in defense of Donald Trump: He’ll behave himself once he’s in office.

GOP leaders generally acknowledged (on and off the record) that their nominee’s reckless campaign-trail persona was not suitable for the leader of the free world—but they insisted there would be a difference between Candidate Trump and President Trump. He would surround himself with competent advisers; lean on the good judgment of his running-mate Mike Pence; and mellow out as he confronted the full burdens of the office.
Only now, nine months into the Trump presidency, are Republicans like Corker admitting how badly they misread the situation—and just how catastrophic the consequences to their wrongness could be.
But it's nothing to worry about, right? Crazy democrats ... err ... republicans.

Hahahahahahaha! I was thinking the other day that we need to have a cougarute political graph with Il Pad in the upper right and frank in the lower left, since they are two sides of the same crazy coin:

You're almost right. The S&P grew by 124 points from the close on 12/31/2015 to the close on 9/30/2016. By comparison the S&P grew 280 points between the close on 12/30/2016 and the close on 9/29/2017. As for the Dow, it grew by 883 points during that first ten months of last year, compared to 3078 points between 12/30/2016 to 9/29/2017. Again, almost right, 883 points is almost the same as 3,078 points.
Part of it is based on academic grounds. Among major conferences, the Pac-10 is the best academically, largely because of Stanford, Cal and UCLA. “Colorado is on a par with Oregon,” he said. “Utah isn’t even in the picture.”

                      • I should probably be getting tired of these, but as long as I only look at them once every couple of weeks, they lift my spirits. Here's our President commenting on the NFL and dismissing any concerns about the Rooskies. The second video is Archived Trump displaying much more gravitas. I recommend Peter Serafinowicz's website for the entire collection of Sassy Trump.

If I am the most liberal gun owner on the forum, that's a badge I can live with!

I must confess, my political anchors have been in flux for the past couple of years. But they certainly are drifting leftward. When Trump won the nomination, I swore in my wrath I would not vote for another republican until it became a serious party. Now that the senate republicans have began loving deficits, I see no reason whatsoever to vote for them anytime soon. The libertarian party is even less serious than the republicans. So that leaves me with democrats. I am also becoming a softie in my older age. What started as a protest vote for the democratic party may become more permanent. Which is weird, since my previously Canadian wife is trending more rightward (though she's still pretty moderate).

I guess I am in the red square, a little above the line separating me from the crazies

I imagine he would be in far upper left as he loves authoritarian control. There is nothing libertarian about Frank.
