I learned on FB that you can disregard whatever you like on Snopes, regardless of the evidence provided, because it is run by a couple of liberals.Originally posted by frank ryan View PostSo you didn't bother to read it. Snopes didn't make up the fact that Clinton wasn't in charge of approving or denying the the Uranium deal."There is no creature more arrogant than a self-righteous libertarian on the web, am I right? Those folks are just intolerable."

Seriously, I don't think we need snopes to tell us whether Hilary is/was in charge of these Things or not. That's my earlier point about thinking critically.PLesa excuse the tpyos.

lol funny you say this-- some moron from my HS class took to fb to join every Trump thread I commented on just after the election to defend him and perpetuate Clinton conspiracy theories. When he tried to dismiss Snopes as 'fake news' or whatever, he just got destroyed by everybody.Originally posted by Jeff Lebowski View PostI learned on FB that you can disregard whatever you like on Snopes, regardless of the evidence provided, because it is run by a couple of liberals."I'm anti, can't no government handle a commando / Your man don't want it, Trump's a bitch! Maybe you don't, but that was a point Crockett tried to put forward and has been repeated in right circles over and over again, that Clinton rewarded Russia with a uranium deal.Originally posted by creekster View PostExactamundo.

You missed the point. I want the Clinton list as I think it would represent a "norm" with which to compare the Trump interactions. I'm not implying or advocating for any type of Clinton/Russia conspiracy.Originally posted by frank ryan View PostIt's really not. There weren't allegations of secret meetings, where offers to lift sanctions happened. There weren't events that pointed to collusion. Additionally, Russia never lifted a finger to help Hillary, whereas with Trump they actively influenced our election to get him in power.
The whole uranium Clinton charge is also bogus. Clinton didn't have the power to say yes or no to the deal. It's right-wing conspiranoia. Here Snopes on that:

Comey's statement is pretty interesting. I'm going to interested in what he has to say tomorrow.

It is a fascinating read. Comey was pretty smart to make memos of every conversation he had with Trump.Originally posted by frank ryan View PostComey's statement is pretty interesting. I'm going to interested in what he has to say tomorrow.

Between that and his May testimony I think there are going to be a lot of really disappointed people that thought tomorrow was going to be the beginning of the end for President Apprentice.Originally posted by frank ryan View PostComey's statement is pretty interesting. Self-serving memos are really reliable. Just ask attorneys documenting a file.Originally posted by BigFatMeanie View PostIt is a fascinating read. Comey was pretty smart to make memos of every conversation he had with Trump."Guitar groups are on their way out, Mr Epstein."
Upon rejecting the Beatles, Dick Rowe told Brian Epstein of the January 1, 1962 audition for Decca, which signed Brian Poole and the Tremeloes instead.

It's not the memo, it's Comey's testimony and accounting of things that happened. His statement reports being pressured by Trump. It's pretty damning, and I would hope it even some Trump apologists would be troubled by it.Originally posted by Bo Diddley View PostYeah, it's a fairly common practice, and I don't think they really move the needle much.
