"Discipleship is not a spectator sport. We cannot expect to experience the blessing of faith by standing inactive on the sidelines any more than we can experience the benefits of health by sitting on a sofa watching sporting events on television and giving advice to the athletes. And yet for some, “spectator discipleship” is a preferred if not primary way of worshipping." -Pres. Uchtdorf

        LOL.

Keep your powder dry, Trump critics. This is a pretty stupid scandal. I guarantee there will be more substantive scandals to come.

I agree that Sessions is not my choice as he is not a libertarian, but to level hypocritical attacks deserves a rejoinder. It was a tactic used by Dems to defend actions of Obama when the GOP attacked Obama for conduct that Bush committed.
Trump is different from Bush and Obama both, and not in a good way. And why not address GOP hypocrisy for approving of things Trump is doing that they criticized Obama for?

You can address it but it never gains traction in this setting becasue both sides are hypocritical on almost everything every time they are in/out of power. almost

So true and anyone who doesn't recognize the hypocrisy of the politicians and the press I would consider uneducated.

I would suggest the reason the dems hypocrisy is more often pointed out in this thread is because in this thread the opening salvo is usually criticism of Trump and the republicans not Obama and the dems.

My guess is the reverse happened in the Obama's second term thread.

I think you are starting to get it, frank... republicans and dems are all not that different.

The Dems want to be your "mommy" and the Republicans want to be your "daddy"... The Libertarians just want to leave you alone.

Why can't you libertarians recruit some top notch politicians out of either party? I could vote libertarian if someone in that party had enough stature to explain their policies.

Ron Paul ran on the libertarian ticket a time or two. I keep thinking that his son, Rand, will come around.

Rand is a GOP stooge at this point. He said he would not support investigating Trump because he is a republican.

This thread is about Trump. He's the focus.

Uh, that is what I basically said and why the hypocrisy is pointed the dems way. You can't find too many posts that start out uncritical of Trump.

Rand has lost his libertarian soul. He started as one of Trump's biggest critics out of the field of republican presidential candidates, but then suddenly morphed into one of his biggest cheerleaders, ala Jeff Sessions who is about as anti-libertarian as there is.
