The Trump Admin would likely argue that no one is "pouring in." It's a matter of the one, two, or three people that want to do us harm.

How can that judge say those countries haven't carried out terrorist attacks against the U.S.? Islamic militants in Libya killed our Ambassador.
    Give 'em Hell, Cougars!!!

For all this His anger is not turned away, but His hand is stretched out still.

Not long ago an obituary appeared in the Salt Lake Tribune that said the recently departed had "died doing what he enjoyed most—watching BYU lose."

            This is what he said:

Progressives aren’t interested in diversity. We aren’t interested in inclusion. We aren’t interested in tolerance. The progressives I know give exactly zero shits about those things.

We have no interest in everyone getting treated the same. We have no interest in giving all ideas equal airtime. We have no interest in “tolerating” all beliefs. I don’t know where this fairy tale comes from, but it’s completely disconnected from every experience I’ve had with progressive liberal folks in my lifetime.
            I agree with him too.

Well then he screwed up because it didn't end up being a Muslim ban.

I doubt the administration will include that intro, given that Trump himself tweeted: "Just cannot believe a judge would put our country in such peril. If something happens blame him and court system. People pouring in. Bad!"

Ultimately, I'd probably rule in favor of the President's right to issue such executive orders, but this remarkably clumsy administration is doing its best to give the court reasons to rule against him. The EO's key draftsman adviser acknowledges his orders were to craft a Muslim ban; although the seven countries are all potentially a threat, terrorist acts to date have come from other countries left off the ban; etc.

On another note, Trump's insistence that things are far worse than the media report is really getting to me. Underreporting of terrorist acts? If anything, CNN and the other networks devote more time than they need to, but they get the ratings when terrorism involved; why would they underreport? And Trump insists again that the murder rate in the US is at its highest in 50 years? It's up a little the past year or two, but is far below the average for the past half century. Without question, Trump's lies and misleading statements, as a percentage of all his declarations, are substantially higher than any mainstream media source.

President Truman had a sign, retained by some of his successors, that said, "The Buck Stops Here." I'm confident Trump will never display such a sign, as he seems pathologically incapable of accepting blame and will always deflect.

I don't think I mentioned Iran. I worry about terrorists getting into the country and attacking from within our borders. Fortunately I don't think like ISIS, but if I were them if I could I would infiltrate and lay low for a while. Let everyone think we are a OK.

Remember after 9/11 and all the finger pointing about our intelligence and law enforcement communities not coordinating with each other. 1975 it was passed and in my opinion the laws that passed because of it didn't hit us unitl the early 90's.

I just see nothing wrong with taking 90 days to review procedures. Those who already have visa's and those who have helped us in the war, should be let in.

I would also like to see us help the Dr. who helped us get Bin Laden helped out of jail. Apparently his story isn't tear jerking enough to have attracted the Obama administration and media. Guy probably said he would register republican.

This is, of course, a Muslim ban. If not in spirit then certainly in deed. He has restricted immigration from Syria indefinitely, yet included an exemption for 'persecuted religious minorities', which everyone knows means Syrian Christians.

Wow, I guess we just see what we want and I am speaking for myself too. I could buy, a ban on all Muslims from the 7 designated countries.
But no matter what you want to attribute to Trump or Rudy, they didn't ban ALL Muslim.

Yes, I can see how you would give an exemption to Christians. First they have claim to being a persecuted minority in those countries. Now if you can find a so called Christian nation chanting death to America, I would like to be enlightened.

That all said, I will go along with whatever the courts give us and I hope everyone including DLJ will too. My guess though is while Schumer, Warren, et. al. are appalled at the treatment of the courts, they will be encouraging their base to take to the streets if the ruling goes against them.

It's not a Muslim ban because the entirety of worldwide Muslims are not banned. OK....I wouldn't be surprised if the justice department tries that argument out today.

I have no idea what you're trying to say about persecuted Christians. Their cause is just, just like the rest of the Syrian refugees. I brought them up to refute the lie that this isn't a Muslim ban.
