In this context, 800,000 seems like a very small number. There were 137,098,443 votes cast. 800k is about .5% of the total number of votes.

Why do you automatically assume that it's only the illegals who are voting and not some student from Germany here living legally, but trying to sneak into the voting booth? I would think a non-citizen who lives here legally would have a FAR EASIER time pulling it off if they tried to vote than an illegal because they tend to blend in better. What do you think? The study cited in the article was talking about all non-citizens, not just illegals.
Unfortunately for them, when it's time to apply for citizenship a voter registration comes up and they're f*cked by the permanent bar of admissiblity for a False Claim to U.S. citizenship. I've seen people's lives turned upside down b/c a HS teacher assigned them to go vote for extra credit or something years back.

That 800k is an extrapolation, by the way, not a real number: https://www.wired.com/2017/01/author...eryones-wrong/

I'm legitimately surprised that the round 800,000 isn't the actual number.

This number can make us all happy. The Trump haters can kiss it off as not relevant and a MSM hater like myself can say if it is only 25,000 it makes the MSM pundits look like dip shits.

Your 25,000 guess could be more closer to the truth than you think, '71!

Tucked inside the lengthy questionnaire is a question on citizenship status: A significant number of respondents anonymously acknowledged they were not citizens when they voted.
Three professors at Old Dominion University — Mr. Richman, Gulshan A. Chattha and David C. Earnest — took these answers, did further research and extrapolated that of a 19.4 million estimate of adult noncitizens, about 620,000 were illegally registered to vote in the 2008 presidential election. Using other measuring tools, they said, the actual number of noncitizen voters could be as low as 38,000 and as high as 2.8 million.
That confidence interval doesn't inspire much confidence in the poll.

Your bare assertions do not make it so. Maybe your reasoning is too stunted and your vocabulary is too limited to go without these epithets."

All I know is it is above a few hundred. The report doesn't sway me toward Trumps accusations, but it just thrills me to see the CNN pundits shown as dip shits. I am well aware they will have some way to cover themselves or they won't cover this at all.

And this is why Trump is president.

                    I kid, '71. Sort of.

There are multiple indications that the Trump administration wants to form political boards to vet all public communications by agency scientists before they can be released to the public. This is more than a temporary thing. And the prospect of that is serious enough to warrant outcry from the scientists and the public.
Was the info from this article published here? Not as bad as it sounded, perhaps?

Probably not a majority of Trump's votes are as radical as I am about the MSM and I didn't vote for him. Maybe enough that put him over the top

                        • '71, given that you hate the MSM, is there any element of the Fourth Estate (electronic or print) that you find worthwhile or virtuous? If so, what?

I prefer dislike and distrust. Hate is reserved for ISIS. I think they do a goog job outside of politics. I watched Anderson Cooper and Don Lemon over Meagan and Hannity prior to the last 12 months of the political season

I still never watch Hannity. I feel the same about him as the MSM. Totally anti demo's to an excess

Ah, earlier you said you were an MSM hater, but I get it now. I think it's wise to remain skeptical of any journalist, but I have a lot of respect for many in the business, conservative and liberal alike.

Well to clarify their political reporting I hate, not them personally. I really like everyone on here. However I realize I am not in the political group with most on here. Hopefully I am not hated because of it.

I do owe an apology to BlueK
