Well, on Saturday the only flight he was in/on was his return flight from North Carolina where he had spoken at the memorial service for Lynette "Diamond" Hardaway. Trump didn't play the first day of the tournament, but persuaded the tournament organizer to include his round from Thursday. Tournament participants were surprised to see Trump at the top of the leaderboard Sunday morning when he hadn't even been there the day before. This is vintage Trump, a pathological golf cheat (see, e.g., Rick Reilly's book, Commander-in-Cheat: How Golf Explains Trump). Trump has won other club tournaments when he wasn't even there, submitting scores from other courses that he played the same day as the tournament. The differences between Trump's and Biden's approaches to the discovery of these documents is obvious and important. Yeah this is all very convenient for Trump as far as the court of public opinion goes. His apologists try as they may to blur the lines between his actions and those taken by others who-as far as we know- were inadvertently holding docs, and I'm sure it's more than enough to quell any cognitive dissonance remaining with his true believers.
