One of my favorite things about message boards is continually seeing variations of posts that essentially read: "People are so much dumber than I am, to consider voting for Hilary/Trump/Obama/Kamala/Desantis..." Depending which text thread, or message board I'm reading the names may change but the fact that people feel anything different than their opinion is stupid, doesn't.

President Trump: Making America Great Again...

After listening to some analysis on Trump's pending announcement, I am starting to believe that Trump will kill all challengers and go on to destroy the republican party. And they will deserve it. The democrats would have to be thrilled with having Trump back in the race. Going to be a blue wipeout in 2024."There is no creature more arrogant than a self-righteous libertarian on the web, am I right? Those folks are just intolerable."

For all this His anger is not turned away, but His hand is stretched out still.
Not long ago an obituary appeared in the Salt Lake Tribune that said the recently departed had "died doing what he enjoyed most—watching BYU lose."

While I'm happy someone is opposed to Trump, I don't like the thought that someone is trying to weild this type of influence over the political system so blatantly.

NYT podcast this morning. They pointed a bleak picture for the prospects of someone taking him out in the primaries.Originally posted by Northwestcoug View Post

Yeah, DeSantis >> Trump. And DeSantis is about 999x better than the Dem's dream team:

Yeah, even the best case scenario with him losing entails an ugly primary fight.Originally posted by Jeff Lebowski View Post

One of the reasons Trump is announcing today is that once he is officially a candidate, it becomes incredibly difficult for the DoJ to prosecute him. Yet again, Trump selfishly pursues what benefits him. He already has his excuses made up for the red fizzle (including election fraud of course) and his dumb followers will lap it up. He has a strong enough core to stay in power, but far too toxic to win the election. So he will burn everything to the ground."There is no creature more arrogant than a self-righteous libertarian on the web, am I right? Those folks are just intolerable."

Difficult legally? If politically, then I don't think he is that safe (even though he thinks he will be).
Yes, he will burn it all down rather than let someone else move ahead of him.Give 'em Hell, Cougars!!!

The FBI/DoJ should just show up to cuff and stuff him live on TV before he announces... Y'all keep telling me that there is more than enough evidence to throw him in jail.Originally posted by Jeff Lebowski View PostOne of the reasons Trump is announcing today is that once he is officially a candidate, it becomes incredibly difficult for the DoJ to prosecute him. I hope they play this in the background while they do it:

This isn't just Trump wishful thinking. There was a podcast a while back explaining how that legitimately complicates things."There is no creature more arrogant than a self-righteous libertarian on the web, am I right? Those folks are just intolerable."

Yep. Karen Taylor-Robson would have beaten Hobbs easily by about 7 points. And she had shitty right-wing extremist commercials about the wall during the primary campaign and then during the election came out as an advocate for a law that just passed that gave in-state tuition to dreamers that the shitty GOP psychos were up in arms about. If the GOP doesn't unanimously reject trump and tell him to stfu they're headed toward more of this.Originally posted by Jeff Lebowski View Post
