I think you can take some clues on that by how his doctor answered and didn't answer questions at the press conference in front of the hospital yesterday. He cited HIPAA on every question he didn't want to answer but had no problem (apparently) violating HIPAA to answer questions that gave things a positive spin or outlook. The truth about HIPAA is that the patient always has 100% right to disclose what they want, so it doesn't take a genius to deduce that his doctor was just saying what Trump wanted him to say or not say. Given this, I think there is a pretty decent chance he is sicker than he is letting on and it could still take a turn for the worse. No one disagrees that Trump is still contagious right now, and that is blatantly irresponsible of him to have left the hospital right now. I feel especially for the lower level non-political employees at the White House. You couldn't pay me enough to be one of those people right now and potentially bring the disease home to my family. A doctor or nurse accepts that risk. A chef, housekeeping or maintenance person or dozens of others like them, no thanks.Originally posted by old_gregg View Post

There are lots of questions around those points that the WH is refusing to talk about. If his illness actually started within 36 hour of his positive test, it is very likely that he will decline at some point; statistically it would happen over the coming weekend. How far the decline and to what degree? Harder to say. The remdesivir and antibody therapy he received could blunt the peak symptoms. The one thing I look at as a poor prognostic sign is that he required oxygen within the first 4 days of illness. Even those who get sick enough to require ventilator support are rarely hypoxic until 10-14 days into the course.
All of this is dependent on an accurate timeline. If he was sick for a week prior to getting tested, then his disease course would be more mild.
