Ah, the gang of dumb dumbs. Don't know how to answer a simple question. Always getting caught in those perjury traps.

"Uhhhh, we're so stooopid that it's unfair for you to ask us to be honest."
    Give 'em Hell, Cougars!!!

For all this His anger is not turned away, but His hand is stretched out still.

Not long ago an obituary appeared in the Salt Lake Tribune that said the recently departed had "died doing what he enjoyed most—watching BYU lose."

I love how the ignorant say Russiagate is not credible, like they've had access to the entire Mueller report (they clearly haven't read what's already been released), or the counter-intelligence report on Trump. They act like it's some science fiction plot that Russia would dare do their part to put a useful idiot in the White House or that Trump might have some sexual blackmail material.
They ignore more often than explain away things like Trump ordering the CIA to share high-level counter-terrorism intel with the Russians and ignoring that Moscow put a bounty on our soldiers heads.

With all the new shit he flings every single day, sometimes it's easy to forget how Trump lacks empathy for normal people. But here he is, completely whiffing on a softball question about keeping kids safe:

How hard would it be to say "I understand the worry of parents sending their kids to school in the middle of a pandemic. But I also understand the hard situation most parents are in when kids can't go to school. We are working closely with medical and educational professionals to open schools as safely and as quickly as possible". That took me 30 seconds to write.

And before anyone replies, yes I know the vast majority of kids are going to be safe going back to school, and it seems like the younger students are not very efficient at spreading the virus to others. I'm just saying, show some empathy like a normal human being. Parents are scared, regardless of what we end up learning about the virus in school settings. You've shown you can do it with confederate flag lovers.
"...you pointy-headed autopsy nerd. Do you think it's possible for you to post without using words like "hilarious," "absurd," "canard," and "truther"? Your bare assertions do not make it so. Maybe your reasoning is too stunted and your vocabulary is too limited to go without these epithets."
"You are an intemperate, unscientific poster who makes light of very serious matters.”

The Drumpf people need to be more like Joe... Just answer "I don't know."

So if Biden becomes president everything will be on the up and up when it comes to Hunter and Joe's brother. Good to know.

Trump seems to be pre-conditioned to view every question or statement from certain people/media as an attack, and if he doesn't strike back promptly and fiercely - with no regard to clarifying the question or making sure what he's responding to - he'll be seen as weak or not informed or something. But it feels like every response from him is along these lines sometimes.

That's the appeal of Trump though. He "tells it like it is" even if it isn't like it is. No fluff. I'm not Trump fan but it does resonate with me. 30 seconds of empathy talk doesn't do much for me.

                    +1

These are the guys that at one point probably did actual work, but once they get to the top it's a constant state of bullshit homeostasis. He probably recoils at the idea of having to do more work now that he's 'at the top.'

Ironically, all he has is fluff. He doesn't tell jack shit how it is.

It resonates with you because you aren't one of the teachers.

If you are one of the teachers, it comes across as "You're a nobody. Anyone can do your job. I don't care about you or what you think - and if I get any pushback I'll just fire you and hire someone else."

Now - that probably is not far from how Trump feels about people. But that's no way to engender loyalty or get the confidence of the teachers - and you'll have some leaving.

We ran into that pretty early on in the COVID stuff here in Utah with relation to foster parents. They were being told that they needed to continue having in-person visits between the children in their home and the biological parents, which makes sense. But many of these biological parents are not the most observant as far as avoiding situations that would expose them to a pandemic. On top of that, many of the foster families have people living in the home who are considered high risk due to age or medical conditions.

The state actually took it even a step further - telling foster families that to limit exposure, they would have the caseworkers stay home from visits and just let foster parents supervise the contact. So then, the message families hear is "COVID is dangerous enough we don't want to send our workers out on visits, but we're OK putting you and your families at risk and continuing them."

And - when the families pushed back and said they felt uncomfortable with visits - rather than initiate a dialogue and talk about their concerns and come up with a safety plan to address them - instead, the DCFS admin says "Well - if you aren't comfortable doing visits then we'll just have to move this kid who has been living in your home for the last 10 months to another family who will." No discussion. No listening to the concerns. Just "Well - I guess we'll move the kid."

There's always more than one audience listening. Telling families that their kids are going to be OK in school and you'll make sure they have a teacher, replacing some if necessary - might be nice for the families. But you have to be careful if you don't want the teachers to hear that they are disposable and no one is concerned for them or their health.

The rest of the video has him blabbering on about if parents don't like school boards not opening up they should a new person who can change the decision about going to school. In what world does he think this can even happen?!?

He can't even tell it like it is. So yes, if nothing else, please give me empathy.

                            Ha! I struck a chord.

I recommend not listening to Trump anymore.

I understand the concerns that students, teachers, and admin are going through firsthand. We just turned the school board meeting on at our house. Trump saying he understands and feels bad for those involved isn't going to help anyone. Where were you guys during the BLM protests when we really needed reassurances and healing from the president?

I think everybody implicitly knows that's a lost cause after Charlottesville.

                                Seriously? He's the POTUS.

I ignore a lot of it, but can't ignore it all. It affects our lives.
