Shoot, probably. I wonder if Orrin Hatch thinks Trump might be the greatest president ever.

I love how certain phrases are becoming more and more common under the current circumstances. Things like "An abundance of caution" and "social distancing".

            WTF?

Majority of Americans approve of Trump’s handling of coronavirus: poll
            [...]
In the ABC News/Ipsos poll released Friday, 55 percent of Americans approve and 43 percent disapprove of Trump’s management of the outbreak
            [...]

Apparently those 55% are not reading CS.

Since he said he wasn't being sarcastic when pressed, you need to watch the video and decide just how sincere he was.

Any one have any more adjectives we can use besides horrible? I feel I've already used to too many times to describe him.
"...you pointy-headed autopsy nerd. Do you think it's possible for you to post without using words like "hilarious," "absurd," "canard," and "truther"? Your bare assertions do not make it so. Maybe your reasoning is too stunted and your vocabulary is too limited to go without these epithets."

Whew, our long national nightmare will soon be over.

                Give 'em Hell, Cougars!!!

For all this His anger is not turned away, but His hand is stretched out still.

Not long ago an obituary appeared in the Salt Lake Tribune that said the recently departed had "died doing what he enjoyed most—watching BYU lose."

Despite the all caps and the idiot messenger, I agree with the general sentiment of the tweet. I'd feel a lot better if I had confidence testing/tracing/ICU capacity was ramping up as much as possible during the down period.

Trump's tweet is actually somewhat helpful; it's the best our borderline illiterate president can do. He needs to get ahead of this by telling people the truth, that numbers are going to jump in a big way as testing expands, but to reassure people that we'll turn the corner fairly quickly as long as everyone does their part (shelter-in-place, etc.). Be honest but inspiring, two traits that aren't his long suits.

He's pretty transparent. His campaign has told him he is losing the election if we enter a recession. He's between a rock and a hard place here since the people who will take the biggest hit if he assents to the rapid spread of the virus and orders businesses to reopen are his voting base.

A Morning Consult poll taken last week recorded a nearly 10-point jump in net approval of Trump’s handling of the coronavirus in a matter of days, with 53% approving and 39% disapproving. The biggest driver of this increase was separate 8-point spikes in approval among Democrats and independents. An ABC News/Ipsos poll released Friday had 55% approving of Trump’s coronavirus management, up 12 points from the previous week, while 43% disapproved.

A Monmouth University poll released on Monday found 50% of people thought Trump was doing a good job coping with the outbreak to 45% who believed he was doing a bad job. The same survey found Trump’s overall job approval rating ticking up to 46%, with 48% still disapproving.
