Stay tuned to find out if the president or the secretary of state has a higher IQ!

It's all fun and games until the economy crashes or there's nuclear war, right? And when one of those happens would-be emperor Steve Bannon will be the one having the most fun as he sees everything is coming together beautifully in his evil genius plan.

There's not. He is man who is completely bereft of honesty, self-control and empathy. He's not some brilliant political wizard.

Maybe that explains how the guy is worth more than all the other presidents combined. I don't see him as a brilliant businessman either. But it is fun watching everyone's head explode over him.

Frank, I have to hand it to you... I thought you were crazy when you kept saying Drumpf was going to win just like I think you are crazy for always saying the Russians hacked the election. But now I am starting to think you must have ESPN or something.

        • Unsurprisingly Trump has made a habit of challenging people to IQ tests.

OMG. For him to suggest he has a higher IQ than W, Obama, and freaking Jon Stewart shows how low his self-awareness is. This is pure Trump.

In a weird way, unless 45 undoes himself through something stupid, a la Nixon at Watergate, and 45 is certainly more than capable of committing a stupid error, I am beginning to believe the Democrats will had the reelection to 45.

Here's why: The Democratic campaign to undo 45 is to galvanize their own fold and many outside their fold to hate him, but they offer nothing to those outside their camp. What I mean is that the Dems have become the National Socialist Party. So it's National Socialism against 45. Both positions are untenable for many sitting on the sidelines. If the Dems were shrewd, rather than shifting so radically to the left, they would retain certain social liberalism while shifting to the right.

Run somebody, I don't know who, that is socially liberal, i.e., supports abortion, gay rights, transgender rights and such, but doesn't want government ownership and/or control of most industries and doesn't want a giant single payer system. The candidate would be in favor of limiting taxes, and could champion small business. Here is the key ignored by the Dems and GOP, small business employs more people than government or big business. So champion competition, champion the mom and pop businesses. Get strong on anti-trust law enforcement. That person would destroy 45.

45 won because he catered to groups often ignored by traditional Republicans.

I think the fact that inherited a ton of cash from Fred KKK Trump has a lot more to do with his wealth than intelligence, that a lack of self respect when it comes to self-promotion.

People’s “heads are exploding” because this guy is president and impacts on lives and has the potential to do a lot of damage to our country. Among the exploding heads are people in his own administration. That outta tell you something.

On Russia, if Mueller’s investigation is allowed to be completed I think we’ll see some indictments, at a minimum of people like Manafort.

Even if he inherited a ton of money from Daddy Fred he still would have had to do something right to keep from losing it. 70% of lottery winners go bankrupt.

So which is it? Financial genius or somehow didn't manage to blow his inheritance?

                      • is there any evidence that trumps returns on his family money have exceeded any low risk market rate?

So Fred Trump was worth somewhere in the neighborhood of $250 and $300 mil at the time of his death (1999)... Drumpf is worth somewhere around $3.9 billion today.

So I guess it is both... although he nearly went broke back in the 90's.

Come on, UT. That has been debunked countless times.

                                https://www.washingtonpost.com/news/...=.a437b1bcd93c

Citing an independent evaluation, Business Week put Trump's net worth at $100 million in 1978. Had Trump gotten out of real estate entirely, put his money in an index fund based on the S&P 500 and reinvested the dividends, he'd be worth twice as much -- $6 billion -- today, according to the calculator maintained by the blog Don't Quit Your Day Job.
And if you were a true libertarian, you wouldn't be such a Trump apologist.

In a way, though, all of these comparisons are misleading. Donald Trump's father, Fred Trump, built his real-estate business on federal subsidies, as The Washington Post's Emily Badger has reported. Financing from Uncle Sam isn't available to the typical investor (although homeowners do benefit indirectly from federal subsidies and can deduct interest they pay on their mortgage from their tax bill). The younger Trump has continued that strategy, boasting about his ability to secure taxpayer dollars from local officials, as the Los Angeles Times has explained.
