Yet, so called news outlets seems to want to focus on that mayor said millions of people are dying in Puerto Rico (because of government bureaucracy and inefficiency). Yeah, I agree... there is too much bureaucracy and inefficiency in the federal government. For example, like the stoopid jones act. (WTF? That should be eliminated permanently! Who the hell cares who builds the ships? Even McCain this sh*t law needs to go.) Maybe it is time to give the power and money back to the states (and make Puerto Rico a state or let them be their own country).
So what's your trumper defense of this

You forgot to include how the poor simpleton mayor was influenced by the fake news to turn on a dime and unfairly attack Trump. But kudos for bringing up the libertarian cure-all of less regulation. Puerto Rico would have totally been ready for the hurricane if they had been less shackled by government intrusion.

        • By the way, I wouldn't be surprised if Trump connects Puerto Rico to NAFTA somehow. It is true that PR was hit pretty after NAFTA was ratified. There were thousands of manufacturing jobs that left the island once the favorable tax environment disappeared. Maybe he can 'save face' 'caring' for PR by eliminating NAFTA.

            • Ha. Shabbat comes and like clockwork Trump starts the crazy stupid tweeting again. And this Shabbat is Yom Kippur. There has got to be some correlation between Shabbat and Trump's crazy stupid tweeting.
              Give 'em Hell, Cougars!!!

For all this His anger is not turned away, but His hand is stretched out still.

Not long ago an obituary appeared in the Salt Lake Tribune that said the recently departed had "died doing what he enjoyed most—watching BYU lose."

I think there is a correlation between Trump being awake and Trump crazy stupid tweeting.

                • The guy was put in charge of the military response in Katrina doesn't have many nice things to say about Trump. I remember this guy, he came in after Katrina had already been mismanaged and really helped bring order the efforts.

"The mayor's living on a cot, and I hope the President has a good day at golf," said Honoré, who led the military response in 2005 to Hurricane Katrina in New Orleans.

I apologize in advance Ted, it's CNN, not RT, Infowars, Julian Assange's Twitter feed or a 4chan/Reddit meme.

He is, without question, the worst President in our country's history. To debate that is an exercise in futility. By what measure could he be judged worthy of the office? That the economy hasn't collapsed?

                        • Presidential visits after natural disasters are mostly PR opportunities. I haven't paid much attention to previous presidents, but I assume their first job is to show empathy. Trump's political persona lacks it. Today he compared the death toll between Irma and Katrina, essentially telling Puerto Ricans to be grateful it wasn't worse. He again mentioned all the money US was spending on PR, again looking for gratitude.

His official remarks are embarrassing. They are quoted on the official white house website, so I guess he's pretty cool with them. This exchange pretty much described the whole official statement, introducing everyone and telling them what a great job his team was doing. And of course Trump's penchant for veering wildly off topic:

And a lot of people got to see the real Coast Guard during this incredible trouble, and especially I think here and in Texas was incredible what they did. So thank you all very much. Thank you very much. We appreciate it. Really appreciate it.

Would you like to say something on behalf of your men and women?

AIR FORCE REPRESENTATIVE: Sir, I’m representing the Air Force.

THE PRESIDENT: No, I know that.

AIR FORCE REPRESENTATIVE: It’s been a tremendous team effort partnering with FEMA and NORTHCOM, providing support now (inaudible) also to U.S. Virgin Islands and to Puerto Rico, specifically trying to open up the airfields so that we can get -- as an island -- get the majority of the supplies and (inaudible) with the people and personnel setting up across the island, set up logistics networks so we could really get to people that are the most hurt and devastated by the catastrophe.

THE PRESIDENT: And the runways now are pretty open?

AIR FORCE REPRESENTATIVE: Yes, sir. We have four major runways that are fully open and operational; flown about 700-plus strategic airlift sorties to and from OCONUS, (inaudible) Puerto Rico to provide life-sustaining support.

THE PRESIDENT: Amazing job. Amazing job. So amazing that we're ordering hundreds of millions of dollars’ worth of new airplanes for the Air Force, especially the F-35. Do you like the F-35?

AIR FORCE REPRESENTATIVE: (Inaudible) game-changing technology, awesome airplane.

THE PRESIDENT: I said, how does it do it in fights? And how do they do in fights with the F-35? They said, we do very well. You can't see it. Literally you can't see it. So it’s hard to fight a plane that you can't see, right?

AIR FORCE REPRESENTATIVE: Sir, we like that.

THE PRESIDENT: But that's an expensive plane that you can't see. And as you probably heard, we cut the price very substantially -- something that other administrations would never have done, that I can tell you. So thank you very much.
An official visit from a low-level staff who could show empathy would have been more productive than this.

I thought Trump stole it from Reagan. So Reagan->Clinton->Trump?

Maybe it should be "Making American Great Again Again Again".
