Pence's statement was much closer to what you want to hear from the President in the wake of this kind of violence than Trump's silly statement.     After those disclaimers, does anyone know how big the rally and counter protests were? I'm reading everywhere this morning and no one seems to report that. Pictures I have seen seem to show a few hundred nazis with a smaller number of counter protesters. As horrible as the events are and as disgusting as the original planned rally was, I think the scale of the participation is important to know (if possible). I want to believe this is still a very small group of idiots who feels emboldened under the current political climate.
    According to this NPR article, there were about 500 protesters and twice that number of counterprotesters:

                      David Duke was offended by the initial mealy-mouthed condolences that placed blame on the protesters AND the nazis, warning Trump to remember who voted him into office. I bet Trump will take this warning under advisement as soon as he learns who David Duke is.

                                Nearly half the people who voted for president in this country voted for Donald Trump. Commando's frank's takeaway from this extremely tragic incident is that every one of them are closet KKK supporters, Nazi sympathizers, and Putin disciples because President Trump is incapable of high-minded, unifying politics.
