oh, come on. Trump was surely just engaging in playground banter. The tough guy. "You didnt hurt me, you did me a favor!" " I didnt want those guys anyway." Youre all acting like, for the first time ever, Trump was trying to offer a sober assessment of a situation. Clearly, he was not.

It was a deft verbal maneuver to avoid criticizing his overlord. Trump won't utter a word of condemnation or concern regarding Russia.Originally posted by Commando View PostTrump thinks those guys are just fired now by the Department of State? Did he fire them- why would they be off the "payroll?" Or was this his attempt at a tongue-in-cheek remark? I know he wouldn't get sassy with the President.

A deft verbal maneuver!?! Thats hilarious. Trump is an incompetent boob, dumber than virtually anyone picked randomly from a phone book, except when he is supporting the Russians and then he is a clever manipulator of the media. smh.Originally posted by frank ryan View PostIt was a deft verbal maneuver to avoid criticizing his overlord. Then you concede he was just being stupid, with his rhetoric, as usual and wasn't actually contending that the USA would save money? But you still contend that the statement was meant to avoid offending Russia?Originally posted by frank ryan View PostThe deft verbal maneuver was sarcastic.PLesa excuse the tpyos.

Yes, I think he avoided criticizing Russia, which he always does. He has no problem criticizing anyone else, but Russia is sacred to him.Originally posted by creekster View PostThen you concede he was just being stupid, with his rhetoric, as usual and wasn't actually contending that the USA would save money? Of course the reason Putin expelled the diplomats was becasue we expelled theirs in response to the election. I guess that doesnt count as being opposed to Putin?Originally posted by frank ryan View PostYes, I think he avoided criticizing Russia, which he always does. What Obama did? Or what congress forced Trump to do? No, he doesn't criticize Russia. I'm unsure why you are so invested in bending over backwards to give Trump the benefit of the doubt.Originally posted by creekster View Postyou said:
And you don't consider the expulsion of russian diplomats a criticism of Russia?

You think I am bending over backward to give him the benefit of the doubt? Frank, I am more surprised at just how willfully one-sided you see the evidence in front of you. No matter what, you think it speaks to Trump's collusion with the Russians. E.v.e.r.y.t.i.m.e. Have you ever not reached that conclusion? Trump is either a complete fool and moron or he is a deft rhetorician depending on what suits you at the moment. The fact is he MIGHT be tied up with the Russians, but seeing a Putin behind every tree doesnt really advance that story, it just undermines your own credibility.Originally posted by frank ryan View PostWhat Obama did? And I am still looking forward to your posting some factual support from one of your quality sources for the specific conclusions you are reaching.PLesa excuse the tpyos.

I was not serious about Trump being deft, and that was stated some posts back. Why don't you show me some examples of Trump taking Russia or Putin to task? I encouraged you to watch the senate intell hearings and you responded condescendingly. If you are asking for a sworn affidavit from Trump that he colluded with Russia, I can't help you grumpy monkey. There's plenty of smoke of this Russia story. FFS, the e-mails between Don Jr. and the guy setting up the meeting with the Russians is pretty damning stuff, but you sure don't seem too concerned about it. Fortunately, Mueller seems to be taking this seriously. Hopefully Trump doesn't fire him.Originally posted by creekster View PostYou think I am bending over backward to give him the benefit of the doubt?
