He's an opportunist, a nationalist, an FSB agent and dishonest. Yet he recommended that we need not treat him as "evil" and an "enemy" because he can be convinced to engage in Realpolitik. Listen, I am not condoning or commenting on the various conspiracy theories out there regarding Trump. I tend to disbelieve that Trump is in bed with the ruskies or that he is any kind of a puppet. But I wouldn't put anything past Putin. This is a guy who was willing to sacrifice the well-being and the future of thousands of Russian orphans, many of them in need of medical care, to score a cheap political point and protect corrupt Russian officials. He routinely poisons or otherwise executes his political enemies. There are countless examples.
