Right, right. Clearly, LBJ's Message on Education in January 1965 could have no relevance to the purposes and goals behind the Higher Education Act of 1965.

Hey good news on the war front - Newt Gingrich and Musky, and some rando who designed the oculus are going to help lead the military!

        https://www.cnbc.com/2026/09/30/musk...-hegseth-.html

The Pentagon is tapping Tesla and SpaceX CEO Elon Musk, defense technology entrepreneur and Anduril co-founder Palmer Luckey and former House Speaker Newt Gingrich to identify the military capabilities, technologies and weapons the U.S. may need in future wars, Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth said Wednesday.

The initiative, dubbed Project Meridian, will spend 120 days looking years and decades ahead at how warfare could change and what capabilities the U.S. military will need to maintain a technological edge.

“Project Meridian, the future of warfare, is not about developing new strategies or new policies,” Hegseth said. Instead, he said, its purpose is to “identify the domains that we must conquer, and capabilities we must master.”

Hegseth said the effort will focus on “discovering, developing, and fielding” weapons and systems that future U.S. troops may need on battlefields ranging “from under the Earth to beyond the moon.” He announced the initiative during a “State of the Force” address to junior officers and enlisted leaders at Marine Corps Base Quantico in Virginia.

Pentagon technology chief Emil Michael will oversee the project, with Musk, Luckey and Gingrich as co-leads and a broader team drawn from government, industry, academia and the policy world, Hegseth said

I just wanted to reference LBJ's bunghole.

We need a department of war/kegsbreath thread. He is starting a department of religious affairs in the military.

              That isn't problematic at all

Broke into the cockpit? Flydubai didn't use planes with the same post-9/11 upgrades that prevent that?

Reports I saw (and there have been contradictory ones so who knows) say that the captain was able to hit the lock release after he was stabbed

Maximus's two posts ("doesn't pass the sniff test") imply that the attempted hi-jacking is a false flag event—that it was staged. Perhaps that is not what Maximus believes? So, I want to know, if it is what he believes, how far does the conspiracy go because the pilot who was stabbed is Indian, and in India right now they are celebrating him as a hero, starting with the Indian Prime Minister. There is footage of his extensive injuries, and reports of his heroic act of opening the cockpit to allow passengers which include off duty British pilots to intervene.

I'm going to wait to hear Candace Owens' take on it before I choose to believe one side or the other.
"Discipleship is not a spectator sport. We cannot expect to experience the blessing of faith by standing inactive on the sidelines any more than we can experience the benefits of health by sitting on a sofa watching sporting events on television and giving advice to the athletes. And yet for some, “spectator discipleship” is a preferred if not primary way of worshipping." -Pres. Uchtdorf

Bit of a tangent, but in the subject of "unforeseen consequences", it's kind of odd that the biggest impact of post-9/11 airport/plane security features may be that it is now much easier for suicidal or murderous pilots to kill hundreds of people.
