Both sides are not the same. Always looking for that equivalency, even when it isn't there.

Reactions to this from trumpers its very easy to see how trump could do extermination camps and as long as they are the others...

Wonder how they would react if they kill a few of these people. Oh wait thag happened a dozen or so times

Exactly. The whole point is push out as many foreigners as possible, illegal or legal. Otherwise why the extreme push to revoke as many student visas as possible for any contrived or even fully fake reason. Even citizens the administration doesn't see as legit Americans are a target, thus the push to end birthright citizenship even when it’s in the Constitution

I know you think this is a real argument against the substance he is arguing but you are just reinforcing his point.

Pointing out the general immorality of the far left's resistance tactics and the practical effect it has of further entrenching the trumpers and making some in the middle think he is not as bad as the alternative is not arguing equivalency. I think people like USUC and me acknowledge trump has no equal. But just because he is uniquely bad doesnt mean I am morally required to throw my support behind people who have difficulty disassociating from revolutionaries, terrorists and ceo murderers.

The post you quoted wasn't directed at you.
No one is implying you need to support the rioters to oppose Trump.

And the post you originally quoted in your response post that I quoted wasn't directed at you. What is your point? I thought this was a discussion board.

Good lord. I know it's a discussion board. It mattered for context.

We believe in being subject to kings, presidents, rulers, and magistrates, in obeying, honoring, and sustaining the law.

                          I agree with Fetterman.

Well, we have a bit of a conundrum here. What if the president we are subject to isn’t obeying, honoring, and sustaining the laws?

                            • The church has a history of being far far more accommodating of immigration than what is going on now.
Unless it's changed ecclesiastical leaders aren't to ask members about immigration status and it has no bearing on worthiness to have a temple recommend.
Also don't know if they still do this but I know in the past they wouldn't call employees of ICE or CBP as bishops or stake presidents.
And against Stephen Miller isn't crusading again illegal immigration uniquely, he is again all immigration.

We believe in being honest, true, chaste, benevolent, virtuous, and in doing good to all men; indeed, we may say that we follow the admonition of Paul—We believe all things, we hope all things, we have endured many things, and hope to be able to endure all things. If there is anything virtuous, lovely, or of good report or praiseworthy, we seek after these things.

                              • Let me say again that lecturing someone that their political viewpoint doesn't properly match their religion's teaching is the most annoying debate tactic ever.
