Trump puts a knife in the markets and then blames The Fed. That's the MO.
        Give 'em Hell, Cougars!!!

For all this His anger is not turned away, but His hand is stretched out still.

Not long ago an obituary appeared in the Salt Lake Tribune that said the recently departed had "died doing what he enjoyed most—watching BYU lose."

Even cougarboard is starting to turn on him. When you lose CB you know things are bad.

Republicans (and partisans of all political parties) will believe all sorts of nonsense culture war stuff even in the face of evidence to the contrary. But economics is a different beast. Cost of living and standard of living reductions tend to be despised by all.

You'd hope. But this is uncharted political territory

This is also uncharted economic incompetence.

Reminder that Utah voted for FDR in 1932. In 1928, even with the church's endorsement of the Democratic candidate, Herbert Hoover won by 8 points. FDR won by 15. It's also the election that saw Reed Smoot lose his Senate seat to a Democrat (There was no 1930 Senate race in Utah, and the other Senator, a Democrat, was re-elected in 1934). So it's not exactly uncharted.

Yeah, we need a depression for people to learn what we all learned by experience and studying history. Free trade raises all boats and makes domestic firms more efficient and attuned to the consumer.

Yep, but his blaming the Fed is also tanking the markets. We've got a two for one on this deal
"Discipleship is not a spectator sport. We cannot expect to experience the blessing of faith by standing inactive on the sidelines any more than we can experience the benefits of health by sitting on a sofa watching sporting events on television and giving advice to the athletes. And yet for some, “spectator discipleship” is a preferred if not primary way of worshipping." -Pres. Uchtdorf
