Wow that argument from Trump supporters that the Democratic front runners are old sure has a lot of kick to it!

Nobody will give a damn about Hunter, Burisma, or Ukraine over the next 7 months.

Yeah, you are right. Everyone is going to be pissed off at the Chinese for...

Not containing their virus outbreak sooner
REPORT: Coronavirus Outbreak Could Have Been Reduced By 95% If China Acted Sooner

A recently published study from the University of Southampton estimated that the global outbreak of the coronavirus could have been dramatically reduced had China’s communist government acted sooner.

The study relied on research from a population mapping group called “WorldPop,” which created the models that were used in the study.

The research found “that if interventions in [China] could have been conducted one week, two weeks, or three weeks earlier, cases could have been reduced by 66 percent, 86 percent and 95 percent respectively – significantly limiting the geographical spread of the disease.”

The first case of the virus was reportedly detected as early as mid-November of last year.

But they were prevented by Chinese authorities from alerting their peers, let alone the public. One of the first doctors to alert Chinese authorities was criticized for “spreading rumors” after sharing with a former medical-school classmate a test result showing a patient had a coronavirus. Another doctor had to write a self-criticism letter saying his warnings “had a negative impact.”Even after Chinese President Xi Jinping personally ordered officials to control the outbreak on Jan. 7, authorities kept denying it could spread between humans—something doctors had known was happening since late December—and went ahead with a Chinese Lunar New Year banquet involving tens of thousands of families in Wuhan. The Journal also noted that epidemiologists who have studied the case data believe that the virus could have made the jump from animals to humans as early as October.China waited until January 23, 2020, before quarantining the entire city of Wuhan, which has a population of over 11 million people.Axios highlighted how China censored people who tried to sound the alarm:Ai Fen, a top director at Wuhan Central Hospital, posts information on WeChat about the new virus. She was reprimanded for doing so and told not to spread information about it.Wuhan doctor Li Wenliang also shares information on WeChat about the new SARS-like virus. He is called in for questioning shortly afterward.Wuhan health commission notifies hospitals of a “pneumonia of unclear cause” and orders them to report any related information.

Instead of lying about it and trying to cover it up:
China Lied And People Died: Chinese Scientists Destroyed Wuhan Coronavirus Evidence in December
              [...]
And now, there are reports that Chinese scientists destroyed evidence about the virus back in December (via The Times UK):
Chinese laboratories identified a mystery virus as a highly infectious new pathogen by late December last year, but they were ordered to stop tests, destroy samples and suppress the news, a Chinese media outlet has revealed.
A regional health official in Wuhan, centre of the outbreak, demanded the destruction of the lab samples that established the cause of unexplained viral pneumonia on January 1. China did not acknowledge there was human-to-human transmission until more than three weeks later.
The detailed revelations by Caixin Global, a respected independent publication, provide the clearest evidence yet of the scale of the cover-up in the crucial early weeks when the opportunity was lost to control the outbreak. Censors have been rapidly deleting the report from the Chinese internet.
              [...]

And how Drumpf did the right thing stopping travel to/from China as early as he did, even though he was criticized doing so:
As coronavirus epidemic spreads, Trump administration’s new travel ban hits China and beyond, prompting worries
              [...]
“Hopefully they don't keep it as a cover, as a reason to exclude more people from the country,” Dalal-Dheini said. “We just need to be very vigilant and make sure it’s not being used as a guise.”

The Trump administration has systematically sought to reduce access to a variety of legal pathways to immigration in the United States, slashing refugee resettlement numbers to historic lows and effectively blocking asylum seekers from requesting protections at the border. It recently won permission from the Supreme Court for immediate implementation of a regulation that would exclude many foreigners without financial means.
              [...]
The effort to ban Chinese students was reportedly pushed by Stephen Miller, the senior White House adviser who has been instrumental in crafting the administration’s hard-line immigration policies, and who advocated for it as a way to combat Chinese espionage.
              [...]
Still, he warned that “it wouldn't be surprising if the effect of this new policy was somewhat discriminatory.”

“We live in a time where there is rising xenophobia and nationalism, and governments might feel more comfortable taking extreme measures to exclude foreigners under the pretext of a public health emergency,” Carter said.

Which bought states some time to prepare for the Wuhan virus outbreak:

Tell me it isn't so Joe...

Woman Accuses Joe Biden Of Sexual Assault

On Wednesday morning, journalist and podcaster Katie Harper released an audio clip of an interview with Tara Reade, a former staff assistant to Joe Biden, in which Reade claims that Biden sexually assaulted her in 1993.

The story begins with Reade being instructed to rush a gym bag to Biden. Upon reaching then-Senator Biden with the bag, Reade claims that he greeted her by name, and proceeded to sexually assault her in a “side area.”

“We were alone, and it was the strangest thing. There was no, like, exchange really, he just had me up against the wall,” Reade claims.

“His hands were on me, and underneath my clothes,” Reade later says. “He went down my skirt, but then up inside. He penetrated me with his fingers.”

So one of the women who came out last year and said Biden smelled her hair and rubbed her shoulders now claims he sexually assaulted her in 1993. The details she provides certainly qualify as assault in my mind. Once the virus outbreak is under control I guess we will see about the credibility of the allegation.
