Big problem for Iowa moving forward. CNN was very much on the ground at multiple caucuses showing how they work. What a weird system. First you need the time to go sit in this room for 3-4 hours for what appears to be a barn dance. Your candidate needs 15% to move to the next round. If your candidate doesn't get there, then please choose another candidate for the secound round. Or go home (which some people do) or group with some other folks to be "undecided" (which some people do). Now keep in mind that people are running around this barn dance and counting the people they see in groups by hand.
Quaint? I guess. Quirky? For sure. Then at the end of all that, they can't tell us the results and everyone is waiting for another day while they tabulate the hand counts. Hmmmmmmm.
"Girls" basketball used to be played six on six; each team had three players who stayed on one side of the court, never crossing to the other side. I guess people believed the "girls" didn't have the stamina to play a full court game. It wan't until 1993 that Iowa became the 49th state to give that up (Oklahoma held out until 1995).
Quaint? I guess. Quirky? For sure. Dumb? Certainly.

For all this His anger is not turned away, but His hand is stretched out still.
Not long ago an obituary appeared in the Salt Lake Tribune that said the recently departed had "died doing what he enjoyed most—watching BYU lose."

The Berners are getting fed up with the DNC already.
And now even James Carville is "scared to death" for the Dem party:

But without the caucuses Hillary would have not won Iowa in 2016. She won most of, if not all, the tie breakers (and lets not bring up that whole superdelegates thing). It seems Mayor Pete is winning in the same style. If the DNC ran a fair primary election Bernie might win. We can't have that!"If there is one thing I am, it's always right." -Ted Nugent.

Looks like it is the GOP'ers' turn to do the investigating:
https://www.washingtonexaminer.com/n...secret-serviceGOP senators request Hunter Biden travel records from Secret Service
A pair of Republican senators announced a new stage in their investigation into possible corruption by the Biden family an hour after President Trump was acquitted of two articles of impeachment.
In a statement on Wednesday afternoon, Iowa Sen. Chuck Grassley and Wisconsin Sen. Ron Johnson said they "requested Hunter Biden’s official travel records from the U.S. Secret Service as a part of their ongoing probe into potential conflicts of interest."
The letter by Grassley, who is the chairman of the Finance Committee, and Johnson, the head of the Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee, is the latest in a series of records requests by the pair scrutinizing Hunter Biden's lucrative business ventures abroad.

Well, Joe sucks anyway... Looks like he got exactly zero (0) delegates out of Iowa. What a loser. Both Liz and Bernie beat him.

I'm considering voting in the Utah Democratic primary. As an unaffiliated voter, the Utah Democratic party allows me to good in their primary. But it looks like Bernie will run away with it anyway. I'd probably vote for the moderate highest in the Utah polls.
Biden is sinking. Mayor Pete has little support outside of upper middle class whites. Klobuchar never had any momentum. Yeesh, that leaves nanny state Bloomberg. At least he is a capitalist.

This Iowa caucus thing just keeps getting more entertaining... Now that Bernie is winning they are calling for a recount!
https://thehill.com/homenews/campaig...egin-recanvassDNC chair calls on Iowa Democratic Party to begin recanvass of caucus results
Democratic National Committee (DNC) Chairman Tom Perez on Thursday called for a recanvass in Iowa following chaos and delayed results during the state’s Democratic caucuses earlier this week.
“Enough is enough. In light of the problems that have emerged in the implementation of the delegate selection plan and in order to assure public confidence in the results, I am calling on the Iowa Democratic Party to immediately begin a recanvass,” Perez tweeted early Thursday afternoon.
A DNC official told The Hill the recanvas, distinct from a recount, will be a hand audit of caucus math worksheets and reporting forms to ensure they were properly tallied and reported.
Perez’s message came shortly after a New York Times report that found caucus results released Wednesday contained errors and inconsistencies that contradicted caucus rules in some cases, although the newspaper noted that there was no evidence the inconsistencies were intentional.
The results of the caucuses, which were not immediately available the night of the contest, have been slowly released in the days since, with former South Bend, Ind., Mayor Pete Buttigieg (D) and Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.) nearly tied in the delegate count and Sanders leading in the popular vote but with some of the vote still outstanding.
